@james Deer Of course it was on purpose. 🙄 Films aren't made without purpose and direction. Actually most film dialogue is "stilted" to some degree, compared to how people naturally talk, to help prevent the viewer from becoming bored.

Agreed!! The costumes were fantastic, loved the thematic colors and little details. The makeup complimented the costumes super well too, especially the girl with the the blue and green dress and dramatized retro eye makeup.
Love this short film! idk if it was intentional, but the dialogue and the way the girls preform is so 80’s! It could be seen as bad acting but it’s retro asf and I love it.

OH Shit! Love the twist and over the top gore! It's got all the great nuances of giallo, down to the dubbing and delivery of the lines. It's Creepers (aka Phenomena), and Suspiria rolled into one. This director is paying homage to all the sub genres of horror from the 80's style "Baby Fever" also on ALTER so give it a watch, and this giallo style gem, but adding the original humor and touch of a their own art. Can't wait to see what's next.
Fanatico has a low budget Giallo type cinematography, except it has cheesy dialogs and gore; kind of remade in to a new version. It may not like Suspiria, but the movie is not bad at all. Thank you ALTER 👍👍
This was, seriously, perfect giallo, down to the cucumbers on the eyes as a throwaway. At first, I thought, hey, this is great except for why aren't they taking attendance the next day? Glad I held on!
Daira , what other name could she have in homage to classic Italian horror films ala Dario Argento . Italian films have that warmth in color, splashed with the vivid's. Well done. 5:13 . I found that identical suitcase for rubbish , along with it's smaller compact travel makeup companion. Neat with the beauty mask and surreal steam in the sink. Ya threw it off for a bit . Great job on the music . Sounds like the Goblins did it. Daria looks very familiar ? Excellent job.
Well done tribute to Dario Argento / Lucio Fulci style. Choises like the razor troat stab or the chatolic female college setting, are perfect, but there are many more ( some of the musical scores ^.- ) Really enjoiyed it! Bravo!
Great flick, definitely a flashback on that eye shadow. "Daria" could have been acted better though, sounded kinda forced, or off. Just my opinion, no hatred please. Alter should definitely have a 24 hour running channel, I was hooked after watching 2 shows. The most interesting, well filmed and creepy stuff! 💯
You captured the early 70s corny B-rated slasher movie concept that I loved as a kid down pat. Even the obvious shitty acting was superbly acted. I almost didnt believe any of the characters. I even like how you caught that tacky Italian look from the era, even down to Daria's mustache. Terribly well done, Alter.
