Always appreciate the honesty bottom the Laymen. Witcher 3 had issues at launch, and CDPR went back and fixed issues, even changing the romance stuff with triss. Here hoping they get it right with cyberpunk
When in gaming history, has a developer given journalists full access to their complete game? Then allow those journalists to give their honest reviews of what they experienced, 5 months before launch? This was a lot more than a mere preview. This took some serious balls on their part
One thing I would look to point out-the break neck pace you experienced is likely intentional. The Cyberpunk tabletop RPG emphasizes fast paced, highly chaotic encounters. So fast paced that the experience is like a blur. In other words, that chaos is probably “not a bug but a feature.”
Idk, look at Red Dead Redemption 2 for example, that beast runs perfectly on this console generation. The worrying thing about this 'port' on console of Cyberpunk 2077 its the 'popping' of things on the mid and far radio of what are u looking at, like the little bit of a gameplay we saw recently were you are driving on the desert. Let's hope they fix this issue unlike some developers didn't with Assassin's Creed Unity or Mass Effect Andromeda, that and the possible downgrade on mostly every aspect of the game like the city crowd, NPC'S and environmental textures and the "performance" (?) of the game in terms of FPS etc... Anyway, in my experience, if i enjoyed a lot Fallout 4 (As a game, not as a Fallout) hundreds of hours (+30 days i think), i don't know what to think about how I'm gonna ENJOY this promising piece of art that I've been wanting since i was 12 or 13yo, a fucking RPG kinda like Fallout New Vegas were the dialogue and the narrative its really important with the fucking CYBERPUNK style... If this shit cames out like they been promising years... OH BOY.
@Null F With the amount of atmospherics in the game, I'm pretty sure this will be an RTX-preferred game. Besides, when the 3k series hits, i'm pretty sure the 2k series will drop in price, making RTX more widely available than it currently is.
I have pause the scene where you drive around in the city. When you carefully look at the image it not that complicated, graphical fidelity, (Eye Candy) but the RTX effects, gives it DEPT, realism. Good video.
This is just a speculation, but maybe They cut some content for the prologue to make the people who play the demo get into the city faster? Like side missions or something idk... Also, I hope there will be difficulty settings affecting AI, stealth and not just damage. If You can bring stealth difficulty up and It will be difficult on higher difficulties, I think hacking could be very much useful, You know, like in a hardcore run. You might not think It is necessary or useful when You play on easy/normal difficulty, but maybe hacking will REALLY BE useful in higher difficulties where You have to use every resource You have acces to to come out succesful from an encounter. I hope there will be a difficulty like that.
Thank you for calling out it's flaws and not just licking them!! It helps us from getting disillusioned! That said, from everything I have heard I don't think i'll mind those negative aspects as the whole thing just seems to be my perfect jam.
About sword combat, CDPR talked about. Since it is an RPG, for you to improve combat with a type of weapon, you need to use the weapon and improve your skills with them. A sword becomes easier to use or you gain more precision with a firearm for example.
True I hope thats the case. But It wouldn't unusual for the melee combat to need tweaking to feel right. It happens in alot of game. Could simply be a matter of slowing down the animation a bit or speeding it up.
In the beginning of this game's reveal, I really had no interest in it. Then the Keanu Reeves' reveal as a character started to ping at my interest. Now, after seeing how dense this world looks to be and the fact that this is a CPR game, my interest is dripping wet now. Can't wait to explore this one.
That's almost exactly like my experience. I knew it would be good because it's CDPR but I just wasn't very interested at first. Now I'm practically drooling.
My guess is that the game goes really quick in it’s pacing because it wants to get to the Johnny Silverhand bit as quick as possible since that’s essentially where the main story starts. I’d wager the pacing settles down a little bit more after what is essentially the prologue, which you guys played through.
Not only bar/club - many of them. I am sure that game will be awesome - and that will translate into the mainstream. Cyberpunk style/theme/fashion/design will be a thing from 2021 in my opinion.
"A lot of cutscenes" you mean when you played the tutorial 3 times essentially... same with his criticism of having too many characters being introduced like of course it will feel overwhelming you basically kept going back to the beginning instead of actually keep going with the main quest
Yea I'm surprised they didn't realize that lmao. Every game has a fuckload of characters and cutscenes at the beginning and they did the beginning three fucking times!
Indeed, first they said they game felt overwhelming and stuff was happening too quick, then they go and say that the game had a lot of cutscenes and they wanted some action. That's why I hate how CD is promoting this game, through the subjective opinion of a bunch of TH-camrs that don't know what the fuck are saying. Show US the damn gameplay, not five hours, give us 50 minutes and let us be the judges.
You know, even with my absolute RIDICULOUS hype for this game, seeing Ralph and Sam SO EXCITED after their 5 hour demo has me, strangely, worried. This SHOULD confirm my excitement for Cyberpunk 2077. Not used to seeing them gush. Can it really be THIS good?!

In my country there was seller that was like: The last of us 2 is the most awaited game of the year!
And I was like : Dream on buddy! We wait for Cyberpunk 2077 for about ten years!
@jocaguz18 Lol, Star Citizen will be in development long after this civilization is in ruins. Even 6th iteration of human-alien civ will struggle to put together what the devs of SC promised and the mess they created so far.
Had to turn down my phone brightness to watch these sun bros
Always appreciate the honesty bottom the Laymen. Witcher 3 had issues at launch, and CDPR went back and fixed issues, even changing the romance stuff with triss. Here hoping they get it right with cyberpunk
"A real hole in one"
Dear oh dear...... Sam has gone and murdered somebody!
He killed his friend Moel Jiller. RIP
Corporate really giving me this "I Never asked for this..." vibes
Adam Jensen would be proud
I never asked for this but since you're offering...i'll be taking it all. pleasure doing business with you.
Gonna save this video, so I can come back and doodle my noodle to it tomorrow. Thanks.
Doodle your noodle? What do you even mean?...
...
Oh no...
doodle your noodle, poopernoodle-style

When in gaming history, has a developer given journalists full access to their complete game? Then allow those journalists to give their honest reviews of what they experienced, 5 months before launch? This was a lot more than a mere preview. This took some serious balls on their part
@CommonSense 5 hours is still a good chunk. CDPR is really generous and confident with their product.
Whereas, Bethesda usually announces their games 5 months before launch...
A lot of devs does this for the press at E3 time actually.
And then you have Halo Infinite which releases at the same time and Microsoft hasn’t even shown 1 second of gameplay yet
Usually means they are confident in their product
Listening to you guys talk about your hands on with the game is making me moist.
Oh oh it's detailed Jim Sterling is gonna hate it now!
People still watch that fat guy? lol
0:25 the new Bananas in Pyjamas
L1: “What did you think of Cyberpunk L2?”
L2: “I think it was Fantastic L1”
One thing I would look to point out-the break neck pace you experienced is likely intentional. The Cyberpunk tabletop RPG emphasizes fast paced, highly chaotic encounters. So fast paced that the experience is like a blur.
In other words, that chaos is probably “not a bug but a feature.”
I think that this game running on a current gen consoles will be a miracle, like the witcher 3 on the switch
I'm thinking Witcher 2 on Xbox 360. They did some black magic to pull that off with how well it looked and played.
@@clblanchard08 Speaking of the Witcher 2. When is the Switch port? lol
Deliveredmean42 never knew I needed that until now
It will be garbage on current gen just like W3 was. No magic can make up for lack of power.
OH BOY.
"Smoother than real life" - Sam, Laymen Gaming.
At this point, it’s a PS5 / Series X launch title.
Agreed. Next gen consoles will launch by the time this game comes out. There is NO way they'll launch in December.
@Null F dis anyone ask?
@Null F With the amount of atmospherics in the game, I'm pretty sure this will be an RTX-preferred game.
Besides, when the 3k series hits, i'm pretty sure the 2k series will drop in price, making RTX more widely available than it currently is.
It was going to be that for me anyway. I mean, my computer definitely won't be able to handle it, and I can't trust my PS4 Pro with it.
I love your avatar.

Well, he can watch the trailer and Yong out with his dong out
@@GigglingStoners lmao wtf I laughed so hard
That intro just made me forget about my long day at work, cheers
They actually said they cut out some quests to avoid spoling too much.

I love the way Ralph just quickly shouts out "way better than last of us 2" real quick. I laughed my ass off.
those shirts tho, they hurt my eyes. Sam such a kid. he's my fave brother
20:25 I really like how the camera changes from 3rd to 1st person
Neither the video nor most of the comments aged well...
Btw, I've always been happy being an only child but whenever I watch the Layman Gaming, it makes me wish I had a brother growing up. 😅
Edit
Nice-u!
Is there going to be a card game, within the game?
Finally. Someone asking the real questions.
Cyber Gwent
Pazaak ;)
Probably after release. You excited about the multiplayer?
@Guy Mcface we wont need a multiplayer for quite a while
4:30 YOOOOOO, Smuggler's Run was my jam! I know Rockstar will never bring it back, but they should!
Did you not know who CDPR was when you first saw the reveal?
That's almost exactly like my experience. I knew it would be good because it's CDPR but I just wasn't very interested at first. Now I'm practically drooling.
...you know, this isn't making me any happier about the delay.....I wnna pllllllaaaaaaayyyy *cries*
Did you get Cr1tikal’s permission to use the word “moist”?
Went to the comments first for this.
My guess is that the game goes really quick in it’s pacing because it wants to get to the Johnny Silverhand bit as quick as possible since that’s essentially where the main story starts. I’d wager the pacing settles down a little bit more after what is essentially the prologue, which you guys played through.
Cyberpunk themed bar/ club coming soon after this game comes out I can guarantee it lol
Not only bar/club - many of them. I am sure that game will be awesome - and that will translate into the mainstream. Cyberpunk style/theme/fashion/design will be a thing from 2021 in my opinion.
I played the wicher 3 for at least 400-500 hours man, I was exploring everything, can't wait for Cyber punk 2077
"A lot of cutscenes" you mean when you played the tutorial 3 times essentially... same with his criticism of having too many characters being introduced like of course it will feel overwhelming you basically kept going back to the beginning instead of actually keep going with the main quest
I know right haha
Yea I'm surprised they didn't realize that lmao. Every game has a fuckload of characters and cutscenes at the beginning and they did the beginning three fucking times!
Indeed, first they said they game felt overwhelming and stuff was happening too quick, then they go and say that the game had a lot of cutscenes and they wanted some action. That's why I hate how CD is promoting this game, through the subjective opinion of a bunch of TH-camrs that don't know what the fuck are saying. Show US the damn gameplay, not five hours, give us 50 minutes and let us be the judges.
The Batman Arkham games nailed the crime scene investigation parts of their games
TheDarthcow Detroit become human as well
Dude, this game is going to rule so hard
🤣🤣🤣
For me, the Braindance part is really exicting for me. Reminds me of one of the classic Cyberpunk flick: Strange Days.
the intro is perfection.
Kinglik7 yes for a reviewer who’s known for being painfully honest like skillup seeing him getting wild and loving a game a big sign that this game is going to be a legend
"It was way better than the last of us part 2." Low bar, but ok😆😆😆😆
Cp didn't jump over that bar. It dug under it.
16 times more detail! It just works! - Cyberpunk appears to be everything Fallout 76 claimed to be but never delievered on. Great stuff
“It was way better than TLoU part II” 😂😂
😂😂 no, it wasn't 😐😭
I just come for your banter - always cheers me up!
We need a freaking demo already.
Definitely!!!
50-60 hours better be only the main campaign lol
Did anyone else start to go a little stir crazy seeing all of those misused "air quotes"? I almost shit "myself"
Rofl, the intro was so damn telegraphed yet it still worked so well, 10/10
At these point i dont want to miss bethesda anymore, we have cdpr now
I still love the TES series though, the world and zaniness isn't something you can simply find else where in another arpg. There's so much potential with the series with today's tech, it's only a matter of getting a studio with passion if not from BGS.
Almost 1 year later... no, we don't
00:24 lmao!!!!!! I saw it coming but the jump cut into the Cyberpunk shirts killed me 😂💀
Still moist?
60 hours? He! I put 300+ hours in my Witcher 3 first playthrough, here it seems I will be playing at least 3 times to check on the different options!
Moistman Gaming. I can't wait.
This is what I want to hear and sounds like the hype is not just a lie like most other games
