    not only is Joe imo one of the top 3-5 qb's in the league, but I believe what makes him even more valuable is the intangibles and his handling of things off the field. knowing he's the face and limiting distractions, knowing what to say and when to say it, know where he should and should not divulge information, when not to talk about certain players or situations, etc. the kid is 25 years old but has better awareness and interview/interpersonal etiquette than 10-15 year vets. some people have to go to school to get good at doing that. And most importantly his attitude and the way he carries himself gets his teammates behind him and believing in him that they can get it done no matter the situation. If Aaron Rodgers had even an 8th of the skill level of Joe on how to conduct himself appropriately with the media and his peers/teammates he wouldn't be struggling so hard with his teammates who hate him and are scared to drop a ball because they're going to get called out by their "leader" in the very next media session. Such a diva. Joe has got it on and off the field and that's what makes him such a unicorn and so likeable to so many.

      Burrow is undoubtedly the best QB in the league, dude just keeps doing shit no one else has ever done. He just doesn't get the credit because he doesn't look flashy. You know who else was consistently downplayed because he never did anything particularly flashy? Tom Brady.

      This man IS the best QB in the league....it's questionable to some, but if you ask me...it's not even close with Rodgers and Brady playing like nothing...When it's said and done, Mahomes mayhave just as many if not a little more yards but completion percentage, TD to interception ratio along with total yards, ypp, efficiency...Burrow is going to have the best stat sheet by far and will be playing for another shot at the trophy....pin it.

    I think we can all agree collins takes on Joe are at least kind of skewed because of their relationship and the podcast but I don't really care because I love these podcasts. I think it's good for Joe, Collin enjoys it, and obviously it makes for great entertainment for us. I think how we've recently starting seeing these players go on to talk with some people on a platform that's not grilling them and everything isn't about sports is a very underrated escape for these athletes. On top of it being good for them, I think it gives people the opportunity to see these athletes as more than that, we get to see them as people.
    I mean hell I can tell you right now I never disliked Joe, I'm a huge buckeyes fan and I've always rooted for him but watching these podcasts these last few weeks had made me like him even more. Hearing him talk about his past, growing up, his relationships with his teammates, etc. these athletes live hard lives because at the end of the day, they're paid millions of dollars to perform at the highest of levels and as fans it's frustrating when they don't live up to those expectations but those athletes are people just like you and I. Giving these athletes the opportunity to show that side of sports has been really cool and it's actually got my girlfriend to like football more because to her she is developing an understanding and connection with these players which in-turn has invested interest into seeing them succeed on the field

    lifelong Bengals fan, we are so lucky to have Burrow and Chase. Burrow was obviously born to be a Bengal, but how lucky Chase took that year off. Drafting has been outstanding in the Zac Taylor era, a couple of flops but Higgins in the. 2nd round, Wilson 3rd round. And shoutout to the Marvin Lewis era for snagging Bates and Mixon in the 2nd round

    • @TruBoreDOM
      @TruBoreDOM ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the thing in the Zac Era who has really been a flop, apart from Carman and maybe sample(who I think is serviceable) ? To me you can only be a draft flop if you are drafted in round 3 or earlier and in these rounds we got a good starting left tackle, a good starting linebacker, a Franchise qb (not that hard to get that one right), a great Nr. 1 receiver (incredible Nr. 2 receiver), a great starting linebacker (that could become even better in the next few years), a generational WR and a rotational Edge Rusher (that could become a good/great starter in the next few years). and that doesn't even include this year's draft, which I think they nailed, or the fact that the whole 2020 draft class is still on the roster and even the 7th rounder is contributing. So I agree that drafting has been outstanding but I think it has been good enough for me to ignore the flop(s). Just look at other teams and their drafting records since 2019 and show me one that has been substantially better. Duke Tobin and Zac Taylor have done an incredible job in the last few years and don't get enough credit for it.

    • @TheOchocincoboi
      @TheOchocincoboi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TruBoreDOM personally don't like Sample but i see why they wanted him. Looks like Dax Hill might be good enough to replace Bates which will be good for our salary cap. Duke Tobin definitely deserving of executive of the year, i love that we virtually have all our future picks, we can make a big splash 3-4 years down the line for a superstar player like the Rams did

    The preseason should almost exclusively be played by rookies, practice teamers, and 2nd stringers because the NFL has major depth problems, especially at DB and offensive line. Chase, Higgins, and Boyd being covered by 4th, 5th, 6th, and scout team reserve corners did not go well and it didn't matter how good the rest of the Falcons team was beause they couldn't overcome that to save their lives.

They’ll do that every time. If you do some thing that prevents that 40 yard pass, then they should be able to have that 40 yard pass because you interfered

    His comment about not being nervous about anything in particular but the energy and feeling in your stomach before a game.... yes.... I definitely miss having that feeling. That feeling when I could say to myself "I have a game today" and know that in a few hours I would be on the field. Best feeling.

    I am loving these weekly conversations! It just feels like two chill guys having a pleasant conversation and living in Cincinnati, we can't get enough of Joe Burrow! :) We are simply honored to have such a class guy leading the team and it's been a lot of fun watching the Bengals bounce back from that tough 0-2 start. Hopefully Joe Burrow & the Bengals can finally get that elusive win against the Browns!

    Only thumbs up video because of Joe Burrow. That dude is something else. I'm a Bear/Seahawk fan but I love football. Joe, Josh, and Patrick are the new generation and they're making statements every Sunday. I hope Fields will join them soon.

    My first football memory was super bowl 24 when the 49ers blew out the Broncos in the Super Dome. I was almost 5. Then i remember watching the Cowboys beat the Bills in back to back super bowls.

    Guy rarely talks about his own skills. He always praises how hard his teammates and coaches work. And his 0-line, for how far they've come instead of how much farther they need to go to protect him. Exemplary team leader.

    I get de DPI dilemma. For me the resolution would be it applying the half the distance to the goal rule. Whichever is the lowest, is the one applied. So if u at midfield and there is a 40 yd DPI, it goes half the distance, so 25 yds. If its a 10 yd DPI, it applies 10 yds since its lower than the 25 (half the distance), and its done
