Garrett seems genuinely happy and he's not trying to be "the man" all the time. Steve's head is in every match/video and he has improved so much that he's really fun to watch now. Brad is sneaky funny and I enjoy watching everyone always aiming to beat him. Bubbie and Scharff haven't changed a bit and that's a good thing. Blake and Mo have been awesome additions to the group and bring such great vibes and positive energy. Sean Walsh with his dry sense of humor and one liners is also really fun to watch. I almost stopped watching at one point, but I'm glad I didn't because these latest videos have been some of the best.

This is now my favorite GG video of all time. 2 people hit(Mo and Bubbie), Brad with the E-6, Karol swearing in Spanish, Jeff about died (multiple times) and Scharff out of balls while almost being speared by Bubbie’s club. The pain was high quality entertainment. Very fun video. Btw Steve is low key becoming a top 4 GG player. Striping it recently. Great win by Garrett. Blake, Mo and Karol are great additions to the channel.
Garrett is so good at adapting to different equipment and his putting is phenomenal the last few months. He's playing the best golf I've seen him play I think.
If Garrett could shut his brain off over the ball with regular clubs like he does in these challenges, where he just lets his natural talent take over, he'd be a dangerous man. It's way easier said than done, I guess it's why golfers more than any other athletes use sport psychologists.
This year I moved away from modern golf and now play mainly hickory golf to a 10 handicap. It took a while to adapt to the clubs, and having no yardage technology but the keys are to swing within yourself and play a low running creative game especially around the greens. The style of play is totally different to the modern game and for me it's really made me enjoy the game again after 20 years of competitive amateur golf. With no spin a niblick (the wedge) is just not effective for scoring around the greens and can lead to doubles very easily. It's good to see they are playing pre-1935 hickory clubs, regular players take a long time to find their 'ones' and those that do can shoot surprisingly good scores on courses under 6000 yards as they would have been 100 years ago :)
While I would agree it was a good shot I do believe it had a lot to do with the green and I’m not sure it was his original shot idea. The bunker shot was much more impressive in my opinion.

Garretts flop shot on the 3rd hole (I think) ended up being the perfect move for him. Not only did he end up close to the pin unexpectedly, his opponents tried to copy his approach and failed. Probably couldn't have achieved better results if he had tried.
I'd rather see them play with regular clubs. Playing with older clubs and balls doesn't appeal to me. It's one those videos that will unfortunately not bring in new subscribers imo. It's so much golf around the green.
Please do a golf flex challenge. Different players play different flex, and go all out, senior balls, clothes, gloves, and clubs, ladies gloves balls and clubs, and regular, stiff, and x stiff. Please Please Please. We all wanna see it !!
2 things to remember with those clubs from that era: 1.) there's zero spin so every shot is a knockdown 2.) there is no bounce. You have to either go stabby digs or wide sweeping scoops on the chips. If you go wide sweep.. you can't take any turf. Theyre basically like knives.
Garrett that bunker shot on 2 might be the greatest bunker shot ever. You could hit that 1000 times with new clubs and not get out. In a tournament a pro woulda went sideways. That was nuts. I thought old hick was breaking
I'm a 12 handicap. These guys in real golf kick my ass every time. 0 exceptions. That said I don't think I'd have been last at all here. Bogey golf doesn't seem unreasonable
