I know how you feel. if you fail to hit the right damage before the weakness change it feels awful... but if you happen to have the same units and accessories, why not give it a try then? feels fulfilling that the wolf can't get the last weaknesses :D
Argh! I did too much damage and it changed out its sword weakness when I went back to fight it. Fortunately, I have the fire damage team compo from your other video so I can still beat it (although I won't be under three attempts...). 😭

There are 5, actually. In order of release: Bravely Default, Automata, Triangle Strategy, Live a Live, Replicant. I believe Bravely Default also did a re-run, aa Ringabel was added later on.
to do as much damage as I did, maybe Lynette will do too, but you have to use rinyuu for healing purpose before - should also work out as the wolf doesn't do a lot of damage to the whole group when coming out of the break. heal serenoa with his own move in that turn and you should be good!
for the SP recovery part yes - way more then for the damage cap increase. at times you can do more damage then I did, but I can't say for sure if it's enough if you need to equip so recovery items.

meanwhile you can reset a saved attempt. you should go for it again so you can at least 3 attempt it! :3

for this to work without having to cut off the last remaining hp on the wolf with only dagger weakness - sadly no :/ at least not right now.
