Great idea for a project. I will be following closely. I was 18 in 1967 and remember the players more than the pennant battle. Also I was a National League fan when that was a very distinctive thing. I am 81 games through my 2023 full season Phillies and Orioles project. I think I will finally complete a full season, actually two. That one is in Strat but I also just started a Payoff Pitch project doing the complete 2023 season of four pitchers with good eras who fly under the radar. So many projects, not enough time.
Did a Stretch Run Replay with 1967 Strat a few years back. The White Sox totally flipped the last week and a half, winning their last 6 and ended up tying Minnesota 92-70, then won the playoff, 6-3. Colavito was a beast the final week, and the bullpen of Wilhelm, McMahon, Locker and Wood were lights out. Boston finished 3 back, the Tigers 4 back. Be interested to see how this plays out.
Baseball Demos/David. This sounds like an excellent project. 1967 was kind of a wild ride for the top 5 teams in the American league over the last 30 games or so. I am looking forward to seeing you play the games to see what will happen in your replay.
Some say Joel Horlen had a better year than Cy Young Award-winner Jim Lonborg. By the way, David, I was listening to an old broadcast of a 1948 World Series game with Mel Allen and I found Allen's voice and style reminiscent of yours.
Are you going to sim the game’s first or play the game and then sim. It would be nice to know the out come of the sim games so the game you are playing have more importance if they win or lose.
I am not going to sim any games. I am playing them all out. However, I will play the non video games ahead of time so the game of the day on video concludes that days games
Love this idea. I noticed your score sheet of the White Sox blow out. Did you enter the play by play into PC Replay BB? fYI Stratomatic just came out with the 1967 season!
Very interesting project Dave. I will be following along

I really enjoy the 1967 season. I have played it a ton. I just ordered the 67 season with strat this week. It will be fun to follow.

Sounds awesome!
I just started a 1967 replay in S-O-M ADV, I will definitely check it out to make sure you don't rig my Tigers! Good luck!
I’m doing a full season replay of the 4 teams you are using playing the full season, using Replay Baseball. I’m up to June 23. Have a way to go.
Jeff

Horlen was definitely better. In fact, the whole Chicago pitching staff was epic.
