Spring - Summer - Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons are his best-known pieces, and have become one of the most popular classical music works of all time. With our artistic leader Candida Thompson as soloist, we performed the 4 Violin Concerto’s in Het Concertgebouw. You can pick out the barking dogs, singing birds, drunken farmers and thunderstorms that Vivaldi put into his music, while Candida Thompson plays the virtuosic violin solo parts brilliantly. The encore is Piazzolla's Spring, from his Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.
