Love hearing how Dex is willing to let you come up to him and share a tip or a laugh with during his training. I remember a time when I was literally over the moon back in 1990ish that Tony Pearson was training at our local gym in Memphis. I worked at this gym and was a competitive teenage bodybuilder at the time. So I walk up to him in between one of his bench press sets and go to tell let him know what a fan I was of his physique. He was cordial and thanked me so I go to ask him a quick question about technique or something........dude, shut me down quick, lol. Just came out and said something to the effect of "you see me training here and I'm busy". Done.

Anyone know why Dex doesn't do Barbell Squats or bench (no smith) I can't remember a time he's ever done them
he doesnt want to run the risk of injury that comes with lifting free weights when you do compound movements like squat, bench, and deadlifts.
He used to do it earlier in the carreer. Its more injury prone, dude is almost 50.
