With this video being a year old now just know it's still being watched. My cousin actually told me she wanted a metal detector for her birthday and I came across your videos along with others and got her the Vanquish 440. Really like the content and the way you provide it, down to earth with a little comedy. I forwarded her some of your vids for her to watch to get a real world visualization and sounds while detecting. Keep up the hunt.
Even though not the most exciting finds, I enjoyed this episode as I just bought my Vanquish 440 a month ago and seeing it in use by an experienced detectorist is helpful to this newbie!!! More Vanquish!!!!!!
I love my Vanquish. My friend kept getting flat tires at the place she's buying. I ran my Vanquish over it and it beeped everywhere.. overwhelmingly! Anyway, I learned I can read between the beeps and if I see coin numbers in the mix I always find coins...even copper coated BBs at 3-4". I literally have found almost 50 lbs. of metal items under her driveway gravel and $14.00 in change and a lot of tools...wrenches, hammers,, screwdrivers and junk. Now her driveway is virtually beep free. Cheers...
The music interlude at 17:20 it's halftime entertainment..lol and the washer looking piece you found if lead you would be able to bend it with some ease...and the look of it it would be used as a gasket of sorts...nice hunt
I live in Wyoming and it is a little too cold to go out and detect today. We have been getting a bit of rain. Looks like we will be in the high 60s and 70s soon though .
I'm so sick of rain! I live on the Olympic Peninsula close to the rain forest, so rain is a given...but, for crying out loud, we still get breaks in rain. Not this spring. We've had some measure of rain pretty much every day it seems. I think we just slowly rot away up here 😂
Upstate South Carolina here and our first 90 degree day, and the back of my neck is barking at me. Thankfully the breeze was ameliorating the experience. Or making it worse…ask my neck tomorrow!
That would be a cool fishing challenge, only tackle found metal detecting, could turn some pulltabs and beaver tails into spinners just add a hook LOL and we could choose from many colors.. I wish I lived by the coast but I got the next best thing, a town close by has 43 parks with tot lots in almost all the parks. I live in Commiefornia for know.
Thanks for doing an episode using your Vanquish. I really like my Vanquish 540. I simply can't afford a more expensive model. I find some surprisingly small targets at 4-5 inches and I kñow I find just as much junk with my detector as anybody else 😂
Love all your live dig videos! IMO I would rather not hear the background music, you do a great job at entertaining and keeping us updated as the dig goes along (never bored). Plus the VDI noise is helpful.
(Most) Bounty Hunter detectors are less sensitive to the tiny flecks of metal making it much easier for a newbie to have fun finding shallow clad (back when it was easy to find). A newbie using a Bounty Hunter with target ID (like the Pioneer 202) can mop up quarters in a tot lot (or old yard/school) area. Give them a Vanquish and they`ll give up and find nothing but frustration in a trashy area. I was disappointed in the Tracker 4. Maybe I got a bad one (open box deal) but it was terrible on depth in air tests. I have a Pioneer 202 and found a lot of valuables with a similar model in the 1990s. My best day (Three amazing 14k gold rings in under 35 minutes) was with a Bounty Hunter with a 7 inch coil. I went over my sister`s yard with the 202 and it rarely beeped unless it was a coin. Found a silver half dollar too. Target ID tells you what coin is there and it`s very accurate. Went back over the yard with a Vanquish and it was overwhelmed with targets. Dug one as a test. Pull tab. BUT...if there`s more silver there I know the Vanquish can find it. But my nephew next door is OCD Karen and almost had an episode when he saw me digging. So I gave up before a huge scene happened.
I`m in central Louisiana. Those of us in southern states are lucky because we have much more access to food and a long growing season. A food shortage is coming. In your area I`d try New Zealand, Malabar & Egyptian spinach, moringa, Mexican potato, yacon, sun chokes, etc, and do your best to become food independent. Hurricanes are predicted to be worse this year too. Get a folding solar panel with USB ports to power USB fans. Build or buy a solar system if possible if you like electricity.

Thanks! Hope you'll like the 440 👍 I think it might be a preference thing. I had looked at the grey ghost bag in the past they look good, I'm using a garrett all terrain dig pouch right now which is pretty good for both land and water but there's a lot of good options out there
I live in Florida and getting back into detecting after 15 years looking at the vanquish to start with budget alot say stick with a vlf like simple Hunting mostly dry land and all of Florida basically sandy soil looking more for small jewelry then coins what detector do you think works best
All the areas like that near the beach in my area are infested with no see ums and once giant mosquitoes which really hurt when they bite. Giant mosquitoes even chased me out into the water where I dived to get away. They were there when I came back up unfortunately.
Those damned no see ums and here we also have a lot of horseflys...and they bite hard and leave a welt...and they know to go for places you can't get them, like on your back. Ouch!!!
@@terrymcclintic3379 Horse flies are not as bad as giant mosquitoes. Only encountered them a few times here in Central Fl. Don't know what species they are called but they are huge and it is like getting poked repeatedly by a big needle. Count yourself lucky if you haven't run across them yet. They are a real thing.

Ouch. You get it worse than Ohio. I have never been to Wyoming but, I bet it's beautiful. Good luck hunting.

You can download the update which allows you to adjust iron volume.
Hey. Hi from Ohio. We have snow, rain, humidity and it needs to be more like Florida. Happy hunting.
Trade you some of our heat and humidity for some of your rain and chill!! If only that were an option... happy huntin, thanks for stopping in
@@TreasureOutdoors I will do what I can to send ya some rain and cooler weather.

I bought two sets of high quality NiMH rechargeable AA batteries for mine. No difference in performance in air tests.
That one piece of metal that looks like tire tread is actually a fragment of a hand grenade from WW2
Pull tab? I thought the big round ones were aluminum rings!
What setting do you use on your Garrett AT Pinpointer ?
I use the second sensitivity settings so when it beeps two times it seems just right to me 👍

Witch sensitivity and witch mode you use that time
I am pretty much always using Jewelry Mode with around 3-4 notches down from maximum sensitivity. 👍
