I also lost my father unexpectedly in Feb 2008, it was quite easily the most difficult thing I've ever had to emotionally deal with. It does get better in time, just live one day at a time and move at your own pace. In the same breath don't dwell forever, years can slip by and you get stuck in an emotional jail like i did for many years. I woke up one day and it was 5 years later and my life didn't progress much. Set goals for yourself and keep your eye on eventually achieving them. In time things will get better my friend
