As a Chinese, I would like to add a plot of Songshan Shaolin Temple monks and Wudang Mountain Taoists using Kung Fu and Fairy Arts to fight against zombies, haha. Anyway, it's a great work.😘

I think that bows are overrated in zombie apocalypses like they are great if you want to kill a maximum of 10 zombies without attracting a horde. Guns have more firepower and can kill more zombies per second even thought you attract nearby zombies you can still leave the area or kill all of them.

If you start to shoot with something loud, you are fucked, and also you can use an crossbow, a bit slower, but pack a punch at shorter distances. And if we speak about mutants, be it guns or bows, it's matter less if that thing is bullet proof against smaller arms like MP or AR. And also what about melee weaponry and fights? Anyway, if zombie apocalypse would be real, and they be like walking dead ones, it would be an joke, but if something with mutating and brains, we are fckd.

But arrows should be made from wood or light but hard metals, and since ammo if hit an hard plate or surface becomes flat, while arrow or bolt can be pulled out, you can just make a new out of flatted, since its now a bit broken, but you can use it as an new arrow tip. And at some point ammo will become a much MUCH rare resource, while you may have an lot of guns, it would be an dead weight without ammo, which need to be made, the easiest type of ammo is the shotgun ammo, like standard shell or slug. But still you would need the gunpowder for ammo, and good powder need to be brewed properly, and bullet made properly. Can you make an good bullet that WOULDN'T blow you gun barrel at first shot?

The Great Wall of China is only about 20-25 ft tall so if a massive horde shows up its going to be like that scene in Starship Troopers where the Arachnids started climbing onto of the corpses of their fallen Brothers and sisters just to get up. But using the Great Wall is clever because its stood and has been tested for over 2000 years so while not the best defensive structure its good to use.
