Just a tip, don't store potatoes (or other high starchy veggies) in the fridge. Keeping potatoes in cold temperatures causes them to convert their starches into sugars, which affects their taste and how they cook. 😊🥔

I just want to say I’m so proud of you for pushing through your heartbreak and creating a safe, clean home for yourself. It even looks like you are nourishing your body with healthy foods, which is amazing! I know I’ve gone through breakups where I can barely get out of bed, or grocery shop, or fathom cooking dinner. These take are likely still hard for you right now, but you’re doing it and it’s amazing! ❤

Heartbreak?? I thought there was a brand-new wedding happening??? :-0 Edit: ok, I habe another understanding of heartbreak as you seem to have. I hear in another video of hers, that she and her husband split up after a 11-years-relationship as they have changed a lot and that they are all good and still in each other's lives. So that s a change of relationship-gravitypoint, but not a heartbreak for me.

Granny advice: your glass jars would look good on the counter. They are too big for your cabinets. I keep my dry goods in plastic freezer bags. That way, you can stack them in the cabinet with no wasted air space, and bugs can't get into the bags.

You can add 4-6 narrow floating shelves on the wall between your bedroom door and cabinets to hold glass gars, spices, honeys since the counter top rack takes up a lot of space. You can also add a magnetic rectangular plate to the wall to hold up your knives, which will also save counter space

A three tier card from IKEA with the cutting board top only about $50, and is super handy in the kitchen, especially if you can organize it to be super functional. Some people put all their snacks in it, (think chips, popcorn, ect.) others do all baking supplies (ie flour, sugar, baking powders, pans ect.). My mum uses hers for veggies that don’t need to go in the fridge like potatoes, onions and, garlic. I know some people that have one for all their spices. It saves and ton of space and since most of them are on wheels you can move it around the kitchen with you, from the counter to the stove so on so forth. I also have one in my place for all my art supplies that I like to keep close with me like scissors, glue, pencils , paint water ect.

Food hack: citrus fruits like lemons, mandarines and oranges have something in it that encourages fruits and vegetables around it to continue riping. So stuff like bananas, grapes, peppers and co goes to waste faster. Maybe think about separating them in your kitchen, and especially in the fridge (less air circulation pampers them with the citrus 'scent'), no matter if they store in different containers.
Also citrus fruits don't need to stay in the fridge unless they are cut open. Same goes for eggs: they can last up to one month outside the fridge without problems, and after that you can still simply try if they are good. Good luck with your new space!

I wanted an aesthetic, organized fridge. So I spent 5 hours deep cleaning it inside and out. Then I bought groceries to last my husband and I for about 2 weeks. Then I remember I live in America so my fridge is huge for only 2 people and it just looks empty 😂 I mean it is pleasing to see it so clean and to be able to see what's in it without having to move a bunch of stuff out of the way but.. I wish I could swap the size of my fridge to the size of my freezer because the freezer is tiny and jam packed. I'm also really bad at making myself eat 3x a day because my appetite is weird and I just forget. So I made one of the shelves on the door a snack shelf and keep everything I can just grab and eat there like cottage cheese, string cheese, salsa, applesauce, olives, etc. That's been working out pretty well for me!

I do a lot of visible storage, meaning getting magnetic spice containers that I slap on the fridge door, and I have some command strip basket shelf things to keep smaller items in, on the outside of a cupboard. And I use command hooks themselves to hang things like stirring utensils/graters/peelers so they're easy to access. I've ALSO got a small kitchen, though not as small as yours, and utilizing visible space has made my kitchen way more functional. Also, getting rolling carts has made it so I have mobile pantries or mobile other stuff. Like I keep my instant pot on one of my rolling carts, and have some canning jars in the shelves under it, since I use my instant pot to pressure can. Oh, I also got this great super heavy duty magnetic thing for my fridge that has two shelves in it AND two paper towel roll holders. I keep all sorts of spices in it, and there are even hooks on the side of it for me to hang my tongs from. Super recommend going this route, even if it does take away the pinterest aspect. I prefer to make solutions I'll actually use and maintain, and these are what work for me.
Also, do you have a cutting board? Didn't see one, and figured that would have probably come up by now, but just in case, don't forget a cutting board!

Oh Oh Oh I have an amazing spice rack for inside the cupboards. It's fugly white plastic but it's very narrow and sort of slides rotates out like the best of kitchen corner units. Each slider can hold like 10-12 spice jars and I have four of them. I prefer to keep stuff inside cupboards because they get dusty and kinda greasy on the counter.
I got them at the same time as an expanding bamboo cutlery organiser so am definitely feeling this :D
Still love your crockery, that simple white set. Gorgeous. And organisational containers are definitely worth getting excited about!

Put your tea and/or spices in the drawer where you have put your baking stuff. Those little tea containers just fit in one of those drawers. At least, they do for me in a similar drawer! :D

If the gold..copper? back splash in your kitchen happens to be metal you can get magnetic spice racks to clear up some counter space

For spices you should get those magnetic ones that can go on the side of your fridge!

Just came to say I have the exact pan you held up in ikea and its excellent. Have never burned anything too badly in there and its so so good for making pancakes especially. Also their 365 series is really good. Also so nice to see you settling into your new place :)
