मेरा प्रश्न यह है कि लोकोमोटिव को कैसे पता चलता है कि ट्रेन को कहाँ कहाँ मुड़ना है जैसे कि ट्रेन को पटना से दिल्ली जाना है।ना जाने इतनी दुरी तय करने के लिए बहुत जगह मुड़ना होगा तो यह बात लोकोमोटिव को कैसे पता चलता है।
दो बातें - (१) ट्रैन को पटना से दिल्ली तक कोई एक ड्राइवर की टीम नहीं लेके जाती बल्कि बीच में काम से काम दो बार ड्राइवर बदलते हैं. तो हर ड्राइवर टीम को अपनी रुट की जानकारी होती है. (२) पुल या मोड़ आने के बहुत पहले ही सिग्नल येलो या डबल येलो हो जाते हैं. गाडी कभी भी बहुत रफ़्तार से किसी भी मोड़ या पुलिया का पास नहीं आती. एक बार गाड़ी 30 - 40 kmph पे आ गयी फिर ड्राइवर आसानी से experience के आधार पे गाड़ी की रफ़्तार काम कर देता है.
