I really like the video of the game. Being an outsider (live in USA) of Lace Wars history, it's difficult for me to wrap my head around the combatants. The mixing of Scots (lowland & highlanders), Brits, Catholic, Protestant, etc is confusing.I will have to dig into this more, especially my learning of having three ancestors at Dunbar, 1650.
Thanks Bruce/. That confusion was the hook that got me into the period 30 years ago.. I have never left. I maybe know a little more now than I did then. Jump in, the water is lovely!
Excellent video!! Great looking terrain and figs. Hope to see more from this period.
More to come!
Illuminating. Reminds me of the Civil War in Scotland between another Graham -Montrose - and the Covenanters.
Its all linked!
Excellent video Barry. Look forward to more.👍

Great stuff Barry!
Attempting to fulfil the role of recruiting sergeant for our period Ben, thanks!
I think Purcell's Irish regiment was also present on the Jacobite side
Yes, but not under that title. The Irish soldiers were from two different regiments and under the command of a Scots officer Alexander Cannon.
