In the past I have used athlete Ronnie Shalvis in my other Assassin's Creed videos. He however is recovering from an injury still, and we thought it would be best for him to recover fully before we worked together again. But he is good friends with Chris Romwell, and Ronnie actually suggested him, for us to use.

We had the chance to fly down to Comic-Con San Diego, and shoot this their. We got to work with some of the Assassin's Creed team on the production of this video, and we got to film on the Star of India for the Pirate Ship scenes. It was an amazing opportunity, and super thankful for Ubisoft/Assassin's Creed trusting us with their character from their game! Honestly can't wait for it!

It's a Glidecam. It's why the footage is smooth.
it amuses me to think that devin had to chase chris with a camera through a crowded street, and then *a second* person had to chase devin with a camera for the sake of this BTS. it must have looked so funny to have seen it and been there

Matthew Fritz acromine579 Yeah I know his camera is like.. amazeballs. But still, holding something that heavy with a steady arm is heavy, even more heavy when you run and focus on the angles at the same time. Shit running without a camera in that stance is hard.

Theres a gyroscopic platform underneath the camera. so it makes it steady
I personally think that the cameraman is also just as impressive as the guy doing the parkour and free-running because he needs to maintain the endurance to keep up while also avoiding traffic and cars and people. Plus, he has to keep the camera level and steady.

I was shocked and amazed by the unbelievable parkour moves of this guy, and then I saw you jumping those gaps, running across the pool with your camera.... YOU ARE A MADMAN! :)
For that matter, Parker does an insanely good job of running with the glidecam to shoot you while you are filming. Amazing work guys, seriously!!!!
I was on the pirate ship and recognized Devin when he was filming. I didn't even ask him to but he took the time to take a small break from filming and chat with me about his filming methods. Such a class act and a superb talent.

I've been doing TH-cam for almost 5 years and always wished to hit big on TH-cam (be famous).
But I'm not even close to where you are:) Devingraham
I bought a go pro thinking that it would make my videos better (quality)

That camera stabilisation though, so good! I guess this is the startup equivalent for a camera-man.
