The producer I was working for was named Paul Snead. I walked up to Paul, pointed to the box and said in a very high muffled falsetto (as some born hearing impaired people do) "POW SMEAD!" I broke the entire crew in earshot, who truly never got over it. One older man coughed himself nearly to death laughing almost to the grave. Like years later, they were calling Paul, "Pow" like "Where's Pow?" in my presence as I sat in an editing bay which would make me laugh, just thinking about that stupid simple no big deal joke...in a deaf person's voice. One of the funniest moments in my sad sad politically incorrect life.
I learned in my American sign language class in high school that if you push the tip of to the bottom of your mouth it emulates a deaf accent. Absolutely a terrible thing to teach a bunch of kids but absolutely effective.
