This video is a a concise and detailed comparison of the authentic Venom Kaiyodo Revoltech figure and the bootleg (fake) one. In my comparison video of Amazing Yamaguchi Deadpool ( • ORIGINAL VS FAKE | Rev... ), I can still say that the counterfeit figure holds up to the standard and somehow can still be recommended. In this review, I cannot recommend getting a fake Venom Amazing Yamaguchi. Watch till the end to know why.

Honestly as a college student and someone who doesn’t want to re-sell and just wants to have it as a display the fake isn’t a terrible option

I always hear similar complaints, but Ive never had the displeasure of receiving one of these revoltech jointed figures and having it feel all loose. Always nice, tight, and snappy for me.
It's kinda scary, that the KO's box is almost identical and has all the brand symbols / logos. Makes it almost indistinguishable...
Only way to confirm is to open it and check if there’s a manual or not 💀 I get my things from BBTS so no bootlegs but there’s so many sites that can’t be trusted

@@guy1849 I wouldn't really call it darker paint. It's a matte finish and personally sometimes I prefer that over the glossy look which these figures have.
With the fake, a Dremel superglue and poster tack and it’s good for me

Other than it hard getting the things on his back on, the bootleg really isn't that bad. Especially for $50+ dollars less than the genuine version

I bought one of these and the arm, and tendril I think? Completely snapped, the tendril thingy snapped first and the plug got stuck, not only that but the leg was very fragile.

I've gotten the yamaguchi spiderman version 1 and carnage and they both are pretty good, aside from carnage's legs breaking the spiderman still holds up, great budget option, great for customs too.
See here's the problem, nothing here is a problem.
The loose bits might piss me off more if the real one isn't loose aswell And the matte finish is fine to me, i don't like the darker colour and the identical logos,but dude. For over 3/4s cheaper i can live with darker colour and slightly loose ball joints

Loving my KO, he doesnt have any of the problems yours had other than tight peg holes in the back which I just freed up using a lil glasses scredriver I had laying around. I dont like the tendrils anyhow but they do fit now.

Both arms broke in the exact same joint on mine. One was broken in the package before opening. The other broke when I simply sat the figure flat on a table for the first time. Very brittle joints the parts that are hard plastic.
Mine only had the tight connection points on the back and a loose neck. Not too big a problem if I fix the neck

Add more $5 to buy superglue,doubletape,hobby knife,Gunpla sandpaper set,and extra $10 to buy mr clear top coat which is optional to reduces it's shine,or just consider to buy static figure by SEGA if not changing the pose that much

Oh my gosh thank you so much I have been looking at the AMAZON figure and I see why there are so many bad reviews, because there all fake, if your fine with the cheaper one that’s fine but for some people like me I would like to have it in the beast condition for posing

20 dollars for a yamaguchi venom even a KO thats such a steal
From what I'm understanding buying a bootleg is just a gamble rather than a guarantee of a good figure

To me is obvious, the bootleg wins. 20 vs 90 dollars? You can buy Revoltech joints if the fake ones are too bad and problem solved.
Shiiiiit some are even 9 bucks. I bought 4 for less than 40
But it's not like someone is going to inspect your display and call you out on your fake shit
the clicking sound just means the revoltech joints are new and very stiff, most figure have this issue. use warm water because this may break if the movement is forced upon
Appart from a slight colour difference I dont see much difference, a definite cop if you just want a possible venom
true. The venom bootleg is known to be one of the best knock offs in the market so I'm gonna get it soon too lol

I bought mine off of eBay for £20 and is got clicking shoulders and elbows but not wrists and the waist isnt loose at all can’t tell if it’s fake or not don’t really care if it is or not just wondering

On Amazon the real one is more expensive and the bootleg is the cheap one. I went with the cheap one

I got a knock off and didn't know until they broke a couple weeks later.
My REAL Venom leg snapped off trying to bend it in to posing position. They have the leg glued to a joint in the knee. 🤦♂️ So I had to super glue it back on. Now I can bend his leg because the joint is to stiff and might break it again. The real one has QC issues.
I need help with identifying mine, Mine came with a Manual, All it’s joints click, even the accessories, it came with a clear stand however and the box wasn’t sealed, is it a KO or Authentic?

The Real one looks fine, while the fake one looks like it has a medical condition.
Unfortunately do to expensive pricing , item flipping , item scalping and price gouging this trend will only grow stronger soon it will be really hard to tell the real from the fake , so low priced fakes will win , ive seen it happen before ,lets get real , nobody lives forever and all those collectibles will become somebody elses property in time .

The mini tendrils on mine have balljoints instead of pegs, and doesn’t have the marel logo, I think my Nanna got scammed
I got ko for 30 usd pretty neat all thay id bad is the loose jaw and the joint split in half (joint fixed already)
