+paul smith He'd be better of as head of a boxing commission rather than a judge because his claim that it was a whitewash for Khan until the knockout shows extreme bias itself.
paul smith Both Atlas and Roach often express biased opinions. For instance, Atlas used to suggest Pac was on roids and not long ago he was saying he wouldn't take GGG seriously until he steps up and fights someone like Ward. At any rate, Canelo is a natural counter puncher so it usually takes him a few rounds to measure his opponents, but in the last few rounds he adjusted to Khan's speed and was making him miss a lot while timing him with hard shots. No way was it a whitewash when you could see a clear shift in momentum. And the knockout didn't occur because Khan got reckless like Atlas suggested-- Canelo actually set him up for it by feinting with the left then coming over top with the right. Even a natural welterweight would have put Khan in a bad state after executing a perfect exchange like that.
This guy should create his own channel for boxing n fighting predictions n reviews, critiquing all the top fights he seems to know whats hes talking about this Teddy fella can go far.
Wow Teddy is on point, those who know boxing knew this was a fight designed for Canelo. He was suppose to win over a smaller big name opponent in a fabulous way. Not by a decision but only by a knockout. Now GGG has to be Canelo's next fight. True boxing fans don't want to see him fight another smaller fighter, Canelo vs GGG is the only fight fans want to see.
+Selma Yes he is, Teddy Atlas is the rarest of breeds, someone who tells it like it is without any bullcrap. An honest man. What I don't think even Teddy Atlas understands (since he appeals to the "Federal Government" crooks to save the sport) however, is that the world is nothing but a criminal organization from top to bottom! That's all governments really are - the higher your "power" or "status", the more crooked, corrupt, compromised and co-opted you MUST be... or you never get there in the first place. Our world is one gigantic organized crime racket, and Teddy is right, there is nobody to stop it or even slow it down.
+Easyandy100 Then that means you're living in a fantasy world where the tooth fairy leaves money under your pillow and santa leaves thank you notes for the cookies you leave christmas eve lmao..tone the ignorance down my brother money and greed corrupts everything (Americans are penalized less severely when one is outspoken than others so things are exposed easier)
I learn so much from just listening to Teddy, imagine how much better a fighter could be under his wing! Great analysis, he will easily go down as one of the smartest men in boxing.
Damn he talks with so much respect and honesty that he makes you understand with out starting an argument and showing he is right. This guy is talented.
Love Teddy Atlas. He always tells it like it is. I personally can't see how judges had Canelo ahead on the scorecards at the moment of the knockout. Yes Canelo got the expected knockout, but up until that point he was getting outboxed until Khan started making a mistake that cost him. I'm wondering if they would've given Khan the fair decision if it went the full twelve round with the consistency of the early rounds.
Hat's off to Fight Hub TV... I watched some of your videos and was on the fence with you guys. Please - no offense... This was an amazing interview with an iconic manager of the sport. Teddy had the utmost courage to say what he said. Hat's off to you Mr. Atlas. Very well said, fantastic interview.
Teddy you are courageous to speak out against the cancre of corruption in boxing. Promoters, especially those who were former boxers should combine their powers to create a neutral body to oversee boxing.
+Tom Quinn I agree that judge needs to be fired for having Canelo winning 4 to 1! I am a Canelo fight and he was loosing all the rounds. Khan did a great job while it lasted.
Teddy Atlas is the greatest boxing analyst on the planet. This guy is incredible. Streets ahead of everybody with his boxing knowledge. I hope Teddy gets the respect he deserves
+Healingthebelieverschest Healingthebelieverschest teddys heart is in the right place though. he really cares and that's more than you can say for most
+multitoolish yeh he speaks his mind and he is an awesome trainer he just hasn't had the right pupil to train..an old dog like bradley was never gonna make teddy look good..u can just tell from watching teddy train his guys how solid he is he never takes his eye off them. khan did well up until that ko
One of the wisert guys in boxing - and one who genuinely cares that fighters don't get used and abused. This guy will be sorely missed if he walks away from the game. Love this guy.
I would have loved to see how Bradley would have turned out had he had Teddy his whole career. Although he loss the last fight I saw a great deal of improvements.
His take about the situation with the judges is 100% right. They need some oversight. There has been way too many ridiculous scoring by judges; particularly during the past 15 years.
+Gabriel Apilado It's oscar paying these judges! In my fight he didn't even win a fucking round and one of the judges gave it a draw, the Lara fight could have gone to Lara but they gave it to canelo and now this.....It'a fucking oscar fish net paying these judges.
Teddy Atlas is the God of boxing. No one knows boxing better than Teddy. I've been watching him talk boxing since I was a youngin in 2007. Dude is a genius
With respect to Teddy Atlas, Khan didn't get knocked out while trying to throw a hook. He threw a halfhearted jab that ran into the top of Canelo's left hand. Khan then let his jabbing hand fall to the side. He didn't bring it back. Canelo almost immediately makes contact with his crushing right, and the impact is so powerful that as Khan falls his left hand goes over the top of Canelo's head. If you look at the film fast it can seem like Khan got hit while he was throwing a hook. But that's not at all what happened.
So much respect for Teddy Atlas. He always speaks the truth and says the things that need to be said, no matter how unwelcome it may be at times. I like Khan and Canelo. Khan was definitely winning the fight before he got caught with that big right hand. I share Teddy's thoughts. I feel that if the fight had went on the way it was going, and Khan never caught that big punch to get knocked out, that no matter what, Canelo was going to win on a decision, unless he himself was somehow knocked out or down a couple times. This is sad, but many know that it's true.
The problem with khan is he wants it to be an exciting fight by engaging while floyd made it a boring fight by avoiding the big punch and survived, win and not being hurt.
+GhGuBeUS I agree Mayweather had Canelo and won that fight but he did nothing but run against Pacquiao. If you go back and count the landed punches in slow motion, you can see Pacquiao won but this is Teddy Atlas is talking about. We need some kind of oversight otherwise people will stop watching boxing. Imagine if Khan had kept boxing and lost on decision instead of throwing a left hook to leave himself open to a straight right? I would have literally stopped boxing forever, watching 2 big fixed fights would have been it for me.
What a great quote- "it's either incompetence or corruption." The very first fight I ever saw was Sugar Ray Robinson versus Gene Fullmer. I was just a little kid, yet I could easily see that Robinson was the clear winner. The referee, Tommy Hart, voted 13 rounds for Robinson, one for Fullmer, and one even. He had it right! The other two judges it something like 4-4-7, and the fight ended up a draw. Years later, I actually met the Great Sugar Ray and told him of how I cried my eyes out that night at the injustice that had been done to him. Sugar Ray put his arm around my shoulder and said, "Son, thank you! I want you to know that you weren't the only one crying that night. I cried my eyes out too." I truly believe that those two judges knew, along with Fullmer and everyone else in that Los Angeles crowd that night( and, of course, the millions watching around the world), knew who the real winner was. It wasn't incompetence that made them vote the fight a draw so that Fullmer would keep his championship, it was corruption - That was fifty-six years ago and nothing has changed in boxing.
take a glass chinned welterweight to fight for the middleweight title against a 170+ puncher and the golden boy still needs judges in his pocket, smh Oscar, lost all the respect I had for golden boy, which is shitty cause I thought you were different from Arum and Haymon
+Bill Self keyboard warrior.... show your face and say that in public!!cowards always hide. Did your girl leave you for a non white man or woman? cause you obviously have no balls!!!
I love how he explains things.. Remember him on the fight night games, You land a straight jab and teddy says something like "it's like when you're eating cornflakes and you look down and realize That it's frosties".. Love the guy
Man. What this man represents. His words should be heard a lot more.
agreed
Too true mate. Teddy Atlas says it how it is and if the world wasnt full of fake people he'd be the Head man of the Boxing Commisions.
+paul smith He'd be better of as head of a boxing commission rather than a judge because his claim that it was a whitewash for Khan until the knockout shows extreme bias itself.
Jaguar Warrior he wasnt the only one. Freddie Roach thought the same and his opinion is usually miles from Atlas.
paul smith Both Atlas and Roach often express biased opinions. Best in the business, this man is one of the smartest in the sport of Boxing. Can listen to him talk the Sweet Science all day
same man
He makes me care about the sport more, boxing needs more people like him, straight up.
Damn. Teddy speaking straight truth here. Respect.
The best analysis of the fight by far
Here's a man who understands boxing, from top to bottom
Wow... Not always Teddy's biggest fan, but that was fantastic.
That last minute was real deep.
very...
+Michael Niven - That's what my lady said.
Put simply teddy.....they just dont care bro.....thats life......
teddy atlas speech hit me like a wrecking ball.
This guy should create his own channel for boxing n fighting predictions n reviews, critiquing all the top fights he seems to know whats hes talking about this Teddy fella can go far.
Teddy called it perfect wow. He's the man!
Wow Teddy is on point, those who know boxing knew this was a fight designed for Canelo. He was suppose to win over a smaller big name opponent in a fabulous way. Not by a decision but only by a knockout. Now GGG has to be Canelo's next fight. True boxing fans don't want to see him fight another smaller fighter, Canelo vs GGG is the only fight fans want to see.
youre right, tienes toda la razon !
+Champion Heart The only time I've seen Canelo fight a smaller guy was Lara, and he clearly gave Canelo issues
+Tony Knox Floyd was also smaller but Canelo couldn't lay a glove on him. Floyd style is very frustrating.
+Tony Knox you didnt see canelo fight josesito lopez, or cotto, or floyd mayweather ..smh
+victor langhorne Thats been Canelo whole career fighting smaller fighters. It's time for Canelo to stop running from GGG and fight a guy his size.
Teddy Atlas is so correct
👍
Yup
+Selma Yes he is, Teddy Atlas is the rarest of breeds, someone who tells it like it is without any bullcrap. An honest man. +Easyandy100 Really? I'm British and very mistrustful of our government. I'm guessing you're a lefty.
True Words spoken by a good man! I wish more folks make this point!
Teddy predicted it perfectly.
I don't always agree with Teddy, but he's droppin' some truth bombs here.
true that.
Everything this guy says makes sense.
I learn so much from just listening to Teddy, imagine how much better a fighter could be under his wing! Great analysis, he will easily go down as one of the smartest men in boxing.
I am a Canelo fan, but Canelo was losing the first few rounds until he connected. Props to Amir Khan for taking this risk.
Damn he talks with so much respect and honesty that he makes you understand with out starting an argument and showing he is right. This guy is talented.
Spot on Teddy - one of the best minds in Boxing
Imagine David Hayemaker Haye under Teddy... David would be insane! Such a good Trainer and human being.
This is so good. Good job getting this interview.
this guy just said some of the realest shit ever

Thank you Teddy.
Teddy Atlas, best voice in boxing today.
Teddy is the man. Period.
Teddy Atlas thank you for the last comments on the judges. it is about time justice to the fighters is served. Again great victory from Canelo.
Love Teddy Atlas. He always tells it like it is. I personally can't see how judges had Canelo ahead on the scorecards at the moment of the knockout. +Vidal SuperNinja Diaz I doubt it.One judge scored his fight with Mayweather a draw.
Teddy Atlas is the fucking truth!!!
I fucking love Teddy Atlas because he's not afraid to tell it how it is! Everything he says is SPOT ON!
This man always keeps it real, truly a class act.
I'm loving these interviews with teddy atlas, he speaks the absolute truth
Great breakdown of the fight
Teddy Atlas: the moral compass of boxing.
Teddy is another Yogi Berra. He does not sound like an English teacher, but he really cranks out the wisdom.
Atlas for President! Phenomenal insight.
LEGEND!
Much respect Teddy!

+Tom Quinn ...that's correct Tom! Why in the hell is he calling of the Feds for? Is he insane?
+Tom Quinn I agree that judge needs to be fired for having Canelo winning 4 to 1! I am a Canelo fight and he was loosing all the rounds. Khan did a great job while it lasted.
Omg this man speaking the absolute truth

+John Smith Hi John. Would Jamie Gold have beaten Canelo?
Teddy should train Errol Spence. ..
Teddy is the realest and most passionate in the sport and cares more than anyone I know hands down.
Yep yep! The "Atlas" is on point as always!!!
Just love this mans honesty & truth.
One of the wisert guys in boxing - and one who genuinely cares that fighters don't get used and abused. This guy will be sorely missed if he walks away from the game. Love this guy.

Start a petition now for a Federal Boxing commission. I nominate Teddy Atlas as the first U S Boxing Commissioner!
Last few minutes he was 100 percent right.
Teddy should start this organizations that oversees boxing and it's corruption.
+Den V. True! He could pull that off!

He's right about the judges
Great Teddy as always.
Teddy keeping it real, boxing needs one governing body that every promoter and belt is answerable to
What a great man!

totally agree that judges are as corrupt as politicians, we all deserve better

Teddy should make an appeal to the federal government. They'd listen to him!
