I am garhwali from sumadi village nearby Sri nagar paudi garhwal. I was born in delhi and married to a punjabi girl. But I am still very much into our pahadi culture. I will try hard to create awareness amongst youth to have knowledge of our pahadi culture and never forget who you really are and it doesn't matter where ever you are living. All what matters where your heart is.

I am born and brought up in Uttrakhand. I married in Jain family. All other functions were in Jain customs but I did not compromise in my Pahadi Haldi function. It was a huge function with all baanaas and pooja. Now My husband loved all pahadi songs. To all garhwaali speakers...this is only a short version of maangal .. In actual our village old ladies used to sing every detail sequence wise... My naani always used to say "Write it down before I die" we were like there time and she died a year bacc...Right now I m crying in pain my naani was a gadwaali old lady who new everything inside out of culture..sadly us west oriented kids don't pay much attention , there so much I could have gained (the ancient darohar of our ancestors ) I m sure one fine day we all realize how imp our roots are..we modern garhwaali youth are so delusional we have to understand people who know in and out of are culture are getting old ..please collect all details of our culture thru all technology possible unless it dies😓😓😓

I've listened to these songs dozens of times and now I know most of the lyrics. In gaano ko sunne ki vajah se meri Gadhwali bahut improve ho gayi hai. When I used to live in Uttarakhand I never really payed much attention to our culture, but ever since I've moved away from home I've realised how lucky I'm to be a Uttrakhandi. Whenever I miss home I listen to these songs.

It was a huge function with all baanaas and pooja. Now My husband loved all pahadi songs. "Write it down before I die" we were like there time and she died a year bacc...Right now I m crying in pain my naani was a gadwaali old lady who new everything inside out of culture..sadly us west oriented kids don't pay much attention , there so much I could have gained (the ancient darohar of our ancestors )
I m sure one fine day we all realize how imp our roots are..we modern garhwaali youth are so delusional we have to understand people who know in and out of are culture are getting old ..please collect all details of our culture thru all technology possible unless it dies😓😓😓

My mom is gadhwali and my father is Bengali....i love both culture but I live in Andaman so my childhood was fully in South India.... But these songs always please me... Bcoz from childhood I am listening these songs from my mom.... I can understand gadhwali but I can't speak much..... Love my culture and it's flavour......

When I used to live in Uttarakhand I never really payed much attention to our culture, but ever since I've moved away from home I've realised how lucky I'm to be a Uttrakhandi. Whenever I miss home I listen to these songs.
