When I lobsterd years ago new pots didn’t fish well for about a month. no one robbed my pots but other lobstermen would cut my bouys off and leave them to fish forever on the bottom until the nets Rotted away. Enjoy your crab dinner tomorrow
Those new pots should get better as they get older. It may also be that the pots are getting too many crab too quickly and lobsters often don't like going in busy pots. The one advantage you have is some of your pots are close to land. A great place to set up a camera if you wanted to make the thieves famous.
Yes, that might be the case. I've thought about setting up a camera, but it just isn't doable cause of battery time and data storage. Hopefully they get left alone next time🤞
