Fatal shooting at Parkdale apartment | CTV News Toronto at Noon for July 8, 2024

- One person is dead following a shooting at an apartment building in Parkdale early Monday morning, Toronto police confirm.
It happened near King Street West and Jameson Avenue at around midnight.
Police said officers responded to reports of gunshots inside an apartment building in the area and found a male inside one of the units who had been shot.

I live along the southern Allan, and I constantly hear people drive north on the road shooting either at each other or just out the windows as the speed away from Eglington.
Only a few times in 10 years have I ever seen or heard to cops who has a station 13 at the foot of the Allan and Eglington!
I watched them looking for someone who had abandoned the vehicle and disappeared in the foliage of the banks they probably jumped the fence into the neighborhood and booted it over to the Viewmount park.
They cops had several units looking for shell casings, probably guns too because they had several cops combing the banks with massive lights for hours one night.
The even had the Helicopter with the search light scanning the entire neighborhood across from me. It even lite up my apartment a few times as it went street by street.
Absolutely nothing in the morning news about it too.
The random shooting from cars happens frequently though.
I guess it only matters if someone gets shot!

Because of the revolving door at the courthouse. Suspects are placing bets on how long (actually how short) it will be until they get bail.
