Great video. The missing thing in the video is most of these are fixed displacement pumps except the piston pump . Many pumps in use now are variable displacement piston pumps. The difference is the swash plate is moved externally. The operator can make it pump maximum flow or no flow. These are common when flow needs varying but engine speed is constant. By making the swash plate run true no oil is pumped, as the pistons don't move in or out at all. When u move it out of center it starts the pumping action. Hope this helps .

They show the swash plate angle adjustment actuator at the top of the pump in their illustration, but make no mention of it.
Why does the logo cover the text? Why not mention the reversal and fine tuning of flow with the swash plate pump by tilting the plate?
