Let me guess, your severely unhappy with working delivery apps because the money has dried up and the youtube views around it have gone way down, and when you decide to speak up about how poorly the industry is, your met with a backlash of critics telling you to just quit. It's an uphill battle all the way but the incline of the hill keeps getting steeper and steeper because the economy is in a bad spot and gig apps heavily rely on economic prosperity, but also your entire youtube identity is associated to gig apps so you can't just shift focal points to something else without channel suicide. It's basically like being type casted as a mob villian in hollywood, but that style character is no longer relevant in movie roles anymore.

My mom was my everything. I struggle to get going every day. You have always been my motivation especially when I first started doing gig work. I started my channel because of you. In my case, I was a teacher who struggled with being confined to a classroom all day. Driving for Uber and Grubhub has honestly relieved this anxiety. It is a blessing from God.

Went back to school at 27 and now I’m 29 in a 2021 tesla. I still have the photo of the car I totaled to remind myself to not take life for granted. I was 2 inches away from hitting an electric box. Instead I hit a tree but it hit the passenger side and not me.

So hang in there man. You'll get through this will be thinking about you. So ask her how we're doing hey we're out there solving those problems in life's adventure. Sometimes it goes well sometimes it don't but we're making it. This economy is not making it easy on any of us. Somehow we'll get through it though. The money I was making with DD was ok. It was helping me to make enough to be basically comfortable. BUT, when my car needed serious repairs, it put me back $1,500 and my trusted mechanic told me that he used to be a dasher until he went full time mechanic and that I needed to just drive my car to a W-2 job and back home. The food delivery job will wear out my car more and more. I don’t have the backup to make it worth my while to keep doing this for work when the money is drying up. I dropped down to Gold and all the other stats are great. But sitting for two hours with NO orders coming in, it’s not working well anymore. Time to turn the page to another type of income. I appreciate all you’re saying. But so what’s best for YOU and your family!!
Right now, I am job hunting because doing gig work is not producing the results that I want. When I am scheduled to work for one hour or two, I end up doing one delivery or two. In worse cases, no deliveries at all. It is definitely time to turn the page and move on. As the words of MrBetonYou would say, "adapt".

My car went out today too, but I have a 2022 Nissan, so I definitely understand about car issues. I was doing DD but 2 hrs into my dash my car just went out. I honestly thought that I had ran over something, but I didn't. 😌 I tried to drive forward, but it wouldn't budge. I had to get a tow. The guy said that he thinks that it's the transmission smh. So tomorrow I'm going to see what they say. So don't feel too bad.. On top of that, my sister is in the hospital on a ventilator. My car issue doesn't compare to what she is going thru. I try to do everything and by doing that I push people out of my life. I’ve had 3 good gfs in the last couple years but same thing always happens. I push them out. I hurt them before they can hurt me. I’ve decided to roll solo because I don’t want to do that anymore but the women don’t realize I’m doing it with their best interest in mind. GMC cars be verry hard to fix and not exactly the most reliable, ii hope your bill is not high or better yet is under warranty, if so get car back from shop then trade it in for something more bullet proof, simple is better for reliability, also a reliable secondary vehicle. I’ve been feeling very anxious and dealing with anxiety bro . Last year I got In some trouble lost my apartment. Got deactivated from door dash 4 months ago for a customer lying on me . And honestly bro I been feeling like giving up and just doing nothing . But I’ve been pushing doing Uber eats working on my TH-cam channel here and there . And I’ve been cutting back on my alcohol intake . But it’s hard even for me to just go outside and do Uber bro . My anxiety and overthinking been through the roof but ima keep pushing .
Not sure if you'll see this. The last year or so has been shit for me too. My ex and I broke up after 16 years and 3 kids. We lost our home because of it. I now live in my car while my family lives in a very run down house. I went from seeing my kids everyday to 2-3 times a week. I recently quit drinking and smoking weed as some sort of effort to right the ship. We have to believe shit will get better man. But the only way to turn it around is if we do it. Ain't nobody coming to save us.
This last year has been very interesting for me. It's one thing to have ups and downs, but backsteps for no apparent reason are the toughest to swallow. I have an IT business that was growing steadily and somehow, now I am not getting any work and getting talked to like I'm not even in the industry.

Hello Pedro, 2023 was one of the most disappointing years of my life. I lost both of my dogs, both of old age, and lost the cargo van I was using to do Spark with. I'm starting to get back on my feet now with DD after being deactivated from Spark. I'm having to drive more and making less but still thankful while eating that pie myself. I'm going to use some of your advice and try more multi-apping. You are always inspiring and entertaining. I kinda hate this saying, but hang in there. You are not alone.
Perfectionism is a way to feel in total control-I used to be a perfectionist, and it made me mentally and physically sick. You seem to know what the message has been for you(humble yourself). Do you think you are missing a piece somewhere? Perhaps write a plan with goals, how to get there, etc… Perhaps a night out with a friend you can talk to? Hang in there… I’ve been in humble season for 5 years, so I feel it, even though I’m a woman. 🙏🏻 ❤
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but those arcadias/traverses are known by every mechanic to be one of the most unreliable vehicles. Don’t take my word for it, just google top 10 most unreliable vehicles still made. Gotta get a Toyota or Honda, heck even Kia and Hyundai have stepped their game up
That's the ugly side. You think you can drive and drive and drive and expect your car to last forever. Like I have an old 2007 Yaris that I actually got for free. My brother was like if I can fix it. I can have it. I fixed it and that's what I use for my gig work. I'm no mechanic, I just watch youtube to fix it. It has broken down on me twice now. Both times while I was delivering. Since I am willing to do my own repair. I was able to fix it cheap. I did use my main car when it went down. Which is even older. Which also broke down and now that car is collecting dust. The transmission is f up. It's gonna cost me more to fix that than the value of the car. So my Yaris is now my everything car. I'm an outdoor kinda dude. I love fishing and camping. My main car was a RAV4. Perfect for those types of activities. 250k miles on it to. The engine still works great. So it's just a project car now. One day I'll get the transmission fix. Basically Im saying I would never drive a new car to do this kind of work. I'd rather spend like $5k on an older car and drive that to the ground doing gig work.
I don't believe it, but after two years of fighting through shit earnings and struggling to make ends meet, I am finally back to making nearly what I was before it all fell to shit. I don't know what the reasoning is or how long it'll last, but hopefully it's here to stay.

Well, you're really going to be in trouble and more depressed soon because DD is already going to companies that pay delivery drivers via a W-2. California and Texas have already started. Drivers get paid hourly and have benefits, and doordash is using these companies in Fresno and Austin. Drivers have to work 10 hour or 4 hour shifts. I'm sure these other companies like Uber will follow suit. Perfect example of these companies showing people they don't need gig workers, gig workers need them. Your problem is you're finally realizing you need the apps more than they need you, no matter how much you act like you don't. You might want to start looking for a regular job before these gig companies force you, too, and you really have something to worry about.
I felt this way the end of 2023 but then I decided to make a change. You’re at the crossroads where you have to decide if you’re gonna to continue to do the same shit or try something different. It’s not gonna be easy and you won’t just start winning soon as you make that change but it’ll be worth it. Im on pace to make 6 figures for the first time at a W2. Not sure if you'll see this. The last year or so has been shit for me too. My ex and I broke up after 16 years and 3 kids. We lost our home because of it. I now live in my car while my family lives in a very run down house. I went from seeing my kids everyday to 2-3 times a week. I recently quit drinking and smoking weed as some sort of effort to right the ship. We have to believe shit will get better man. But the only way to turn it around is if we do it. Ain't nobody coming to save us.

This last year has been very interesting for me. It's one thing to have ups and downs, but backsteps for no apparent reason are the toughest to swallow. Hello Pedro, 2023 was one of the most disappointing years of my life. I lost both of my dogs, both of old age, and lost the cargo van I was using to do Spark with. I'm starting to get back on my feet now with DD after being deactivated from Spark. I'm having to drive more and making less but still thankful while eating that pie myself. I'm going to use some of your advice and try more multi-apping. You are always inspiring and entertaining. I kinda hate this saying, but hang in there. You are not alone.

Perfectionism is a way to feel in total control-I used to be a perfectionist, and it made me mentally and physically sick. You seem to know what the message has been for you(humble yourself). Do you think you are missing a piece somewhere? Perhaps write a plan with goals, how to get there, etc… Perhaps a night out with a friend you can talk to? Hate to be the bearer of bad news but those arcadias/traverses are known by every mechanic to be one of the most unreliable vehicles. Don’t take my word for it, just google top 10 most unreliable vehicles still made. Gotta get a Toyota or Honda, heck even Kia and Hyundai have stepped their game up
That's the ugly side. You think you can drive and drive and drive and expect your car to last forever. Like I have an old 2007 Yaris that I actually got for free. My brother was like if I can fix it. I can have it. I fixed it and that's what I use for my gig work. I'm no mechanic, I just watch youtube to fix it. It has broken down on me twice now. Both times while I was delivering. Since I am willing to do my own repair. I was able to fix it cheap. I did use my main car when it went down. Which is even older. Which also broke down and now that car is collecting dust. The transmission is f up. It's gonna cost me more to fix that than the value of the car. So my Yaris is now my everything car. I'm an outdoor kinda dude. I love fishing and camping. My main car was a RAV4. Perfect for those types of activities. 250k miles on it to. The engine still works great. So it's just a project car now. One day I'll get the transmission fix. Basically Im saying I would never drive a new car to do this kind of work. I'd rather spend like $5k on an older car and drive that to the ground doing gig work.

Well, you're really going to be in trouble and more depressed soon because DD is already going to companies that pay delivery drivers via a W-2. California and Texas have already started. Drivers get paid hourly and have benefits, and doordash is using these companies in Fresno and Austin. Drivers have to work 10 hour or 4 hour shifts. I'm sure these other companies like Uber will follow suit. Perfect example of these companies showing people they don't need gig workers, gig workers need them.
Your problem is you're finally realizing you need the apps more than they need you, no matter how much you act like you don't. You might want to start looking for a regular job before these gig companies force you, too, and you really have something to worry about.
