You're right they are different then the album versions. People don't seem to want to believe that he can actually sing good live. He does sing good live when he has to...ie on TV or for a live album recording. He's not using an "auto-tuner" tho because you can't use those live.
In this video it's their original bassist Ryan Sinn, but now they have Matt Wachter from 30 Seconds to Mars. Not sure about the whole A7X thing but you could look up both their names I suppose

The guitar is not live either, listen at the end on the last note when the studio version guitar ends and you hear the actual live guitar. It was not a good guitar sound so they overdubbed that also. You only hear the live guitar for a spilt second but it's noticeable

I wonder if maybe they got a different version of the vocals from the studio, because there are slight differences in the singing, just the way he transitions to certain words in the chorus like when he goes between "it rains," it just sounds slightly different for some reason.
its not delay, its overdubbed cuz every single time he goes into chorus it sounds exactly the same. And it also doesn't have the live audience sound. it has the studio sound.

That's what studio magic will do for you.
And by the way, don't get me wrong, these guys are in my top three favorite bands, so I'm not doggin on them at all, and I would go see them live again in a heartbeat if they came back around. This is amazing stuff, no doubt about it.

All of AVA sends a good message. Can you change the world for the better? "I'll stop this storm if it rains..." I mean how many songs does he even swear in (AVA not blink)? One that I can think of. Focus on the lyrics for all of AVA's songs and I think it will leave you feeling positive.

I reckon they just played the studio track over the performance and at the end it was the real deal because they couldn't dub that. i think they rerecorded the instruments live before they played this hten added toms voice from the cd and mixed it together and we ended up with this.
it is real, They use voice enhansers and everything in that studio, how do you think they recorded it? All they did was make it louder for a gig in there. The voice enhansers selects your voice harmony and changes it and shit, alot of bands use them.

Maybe the vocals were taken from an early studio version, before they were mastered or something cause there are very subtle differences in some parts from the final studio album, but it's obvious that its his studio vocals. Even the guitar isn't live, watch any other live version of this song and you can hear the differences. You can clearly hear the sound of his voice change at the end when he adds the extra part. Don't get me wrong, I love these guys but there was some major work done here

Look, even if you're a Tombot, you just can't be serious with this. Turn on your mp3 of the song and see for yourself. Every word is exactly the way it's on the album. Besides, the whole audio track seems off from the actual performance. Or just skip to 0.59 and see how he moves the mic away without cutting off his voice (this happens a few times during the song actually). Or maybe they just used some studio magic to do that...

I actually think only the drums are live. I've seen them in concert twice and watched tons of live versions of the song and David's guitar never sounds like this (check out some other live versions and you should here the difference). But the drums are definitely live and maybe the bass too.

You can tell because there are notes that sound longer than he actually sings them, like at 1:17, at 4:42 it looks like he makes the audience sing that 'woo' (and they don't show him a single time in the whole chorus lol) and the difference between the 'song' and what he sings at the end is very noticeable. Hey, don't get me wrong, Tom's one of my idols and AVA is my favourite band, I just hate dubbed performances.
