Oracle is one of the very few places I haven't visited yet, but seems like I have to go and check that myself! Also I'm pretty eager to find out how you're handling the Brig when you get to that point , especially after you've been spoiled by the Junk in the recent videos. I hope I'll have caught on by then. :D
Good old Oracle.. I remember one time stranding on it when sailing over from Gold Rock City! I went to sleep, next thing you know I wake up with the ship stuck on the shores of this strange little island!
"i swear boss, i wasnt drunk on the job, just acidentally confused the water and rum barrles; pinky promise" - T. Porthos Great video, a pity we could not hear your first reaction, but great video nontheless.
Haha! Thank you for the laugh and the comment. Yeah, I was a bit gutted about the audio. It recorded from the from mic, the mic it used was a headphone mic which was sitting on the floor. I considered using a snippet of echoey audio of the original reaction, but decided it'd be too jarring. I was originally going to scrap the whole episode, but, I THINK I made the right choice. Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed it! :)
I adore Sailwind. And love watching your adventures in the game. I'm going to have to make my own visit to Oracle now, next time I'm in Fort Aestrin. I started a new game recently in Dragon Cliffs, and working my way to buying the Junk, which is the only big ship I haven't sailed yet.
Oh you've never been before? It's a great experience! Sailwind is a very immersive game which is hard to achieve. The Junk is the next ship for the channel I think. :) Thank you for your kind comment.
@@PorthosUK I would heartily recommend fetching the Sanbuq from Siren Song and using that to get down South if you're going to buy the Junk next, as the Open Ocean on Cog is downright scary and can lead to ship sinking (depending on load-out and luck with weather).
@@PorthosUK You should set sail one day with only food, rum and pipe tobacco (no cargo, no water) aboard and sail out into the open ocean until you lose sight of land and then navigate to a different region with your instruments. That would be a fun challenge Edit: I only sw that now that I got that precious, precious heart from Porthos, that I mixed something up. I meant only water, rum and tobacco, no food with you (otherwise you wouldn't survive one day)
That might be VERY hard with no water! I guess rum works for thirst? Maybe we'll try that once we've been to every island and sailed every ship! (Sorry I'm only now replying, I didn't see that I'd missed your comment!)
@@PorthosUK I just edited, I mixed something up. Obviously I meant no food with you (no water would be impossible). But you can live from the fish, as you do anyway. But if you can't catch fish, you're doomed. And the idea is to be out in the open until you lose orientation, and then use the instruments to find your way to a different region.

Haha! That is quite the Sailwind memory! Was it still night? Did you see the magic?
@@PorthosUK it was well timed around dawn, good time to wake up and push off the sandbanks lol

That makes a lot more sense! haha! An interesting idea!
