@@brieftonsYou’re being way too humble, but then again, that might be (why) your’s is the only one getting all the praise from those of us that suffered through endless (useless) videos before discovering your video. I am now a new subscriber.
After having owned this product for a short time, 😩 and having viewed many (brain dead) demonstrations of how to use it, (because mine didn’t come with instructions), I finally found your video; THAT (ACTUALLY) SHOWS YOU HOW TO (USE) IT!!!! THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ❤️ ❤️❤️❤️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾!!!!
@@brieftonsI must say, that the lady in the video, washing the Mandolin, brought back memories from my youth, when I noticed the (stylish) old school way, she was wearing her watch! Totally, a blast from the past indeed!
My cutter did not come with any instructions so it has just sat. Now I can see how to use it and will be using it quite often. Thans so much for the really great video. So appreciate your time and effort.
Excellent demonstration and explanation on how to use and operate in clean the device. You done a better job then I have seen from even when QVC was demonstrating it so great job thank you
thanks so much for such a great demo. I just bought this today & although I went through the instruction book very carefully, checking what each dial did I was still left quite a bit confused so came online in hopes of help & lucked out on your video. You cleared up all my confusion with such an easy to follow demo.
Thank you for this detailed tutorial. This was extremely helpful. QVC should reference this when selling the product. As easy it is to prep your veggie and fruits, there is a definite learning curve. After watching this, I don't feel the need to return the product out of frustration. Now I will reach for this more often!
Thank you so much for this very good demonstration mine came without the slicer guard, no Istructures AT All ... and no recipes. I was about to chalk it up as a bad investment. Thanks again.
Please get rid of all the other trash videos of other demonstrators, you just kill them. I have had this wonderful product for a year or more and your video now shows me exactly what the controls are for. Thank you.
Thank you for the video. From your explanations you have two knobs - knob 1 and knob 2 to perform the same function. So when do you use knob 1 and when do you use knob 2 ? Thank you
Thanks for your message! Knob 1 controls half of the vertical (julienne) blades and knob 2 controls the other half, at alternate positions. If you deactivate both knob 1 and knob 2, then the mandoline slicer will create slices (since all vertical blades are down). If you activate both knob 1 and knob 2, you will create thin julienne strands (since all vertical blades are up). If you deactivate either knob 1 or knob 2, you will create wider julienne strands (since only half of the vertical blades are up). Here "activate a knob" means to turn it such that the vertical blades are up, and "deactivate a knob" means to turn it such that the vertical blades are down. A detailed (and easier to understand) description of this can be found in the user manual that comes with the product. I hope it helps!
Pretty cool cutter, but some of the vegetables will be hard to rinse out near the bottom where the chute attaches. I actually had to get a knife tip in there to remove bits of carrot that would not budge with a rinse alone. Other than that I’ve enjoyed using it when I don’t feel like doing the cutting myself.
Thank you for the informative video. I still don’t understand the difference between knob 1 and knob 2. They seem to serve the same function. I would love clarification
You will notice that there is a row of vertical blades on the food cutter. Knob 1 is to raise (or lower) the vertical blades at the odd positions (#1, #3, #5 etc.). Knob 2 is to raise (or lower) the vertical blades at the even positions (#2, #4, #6 etc.). Depending on what you do with knob 1 and knob 2, you will get different julienne results. I hope this answers your question.
Glad this video is helpful to you! There should be a printed user manual in the product's box, with step by step instructions on how to use the product. The user manual also contains a link to this video. Thanks!
Yes, the food cutter can slice onions into slices (you might need to cut the onion into halves first in order to fit them into the chute if the onion is too big). Cutting French beans is not ideally done with this device. We suggest other Brieftons products such as these choppers for that purpose: - Brieftons QuickPull chopper: amazon.co.uk/dp/B010VDS8K4 - Brieftons Express chopper: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07T2H8K6R I hope it helps!
My cutter did not come with blade cover or instruction or illustration manual. How can I get them. Also, do vegetables have to be peeled. I prefer to get the victims with the skins.
You can also refer to the video description below the video. Here is the relevant extract: Knob 1 Rotating this knob moves the 1st set of vertical blades up or down. This is useful for when you want to cut foods into strips, juliennes or dices. 1.1. When the vertical blades are down, rotating this knob 360° clockwise will raise the vertical blades up. 1.2. When the vertical blades are up, rotating this knob 360° counter-clockwise will collapse and hide the vertical blades. To rotate this knob, simply lift up the green flap, rotate it, then lock it down to secure the vertical blades in the new position. Knob 2 Rotating this knob moves the 2nd set of vertical blades up or down. This is useful for when you want to cut foods into strips, juliennes or dices. 2.1. When the vertical blades are down, rotating this knob 360° clockwise will raise the vertical blades up. 2.2. When the vertical blades are up, rotating this knob 360° counter-clockwise will collapse and hide the vertical blades. To rotate this knob, simply lift up the green flap, rotate it, then lock it down to secure the vertical blades in the new position. I hope this helps!
But why are there two identical knobs for exactly the same cutting?! So confusing! The instructions were not as clear as this video - that's something at least.
Thanks please, i am asking more or equal question please, . The way she pronounced the uses of knobs 1 & 2 were not clear. I couldn't catch it. Kindly repeat slowly or write it out. Thanks.
Believe me it's not as complicated as it looks. I took a chance and bought it and it is an investment worth making. You'll figure it out by looking at the blades without having to worry about the knobs and rotation directions.
Yes, you should be able to do all those things. Make sure to trim the cabbage down to fit inside the feed chute. And use the pusher to push small items (ginger, garlic etc.) into the feed chute so that they can be cut / chopped properly. I hope it helps!
This is hands down the BEST product tutorial I have ever seen.
After watching at least 10 different videos, I came across this one. THANK YOU!! This is the most informative tutorial out there. Much appreciated 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
