Thank you for this production, and sharing it with the Body in the world.
Would like to note that James never mentioned the works of the law like Paul did. Paul wrote one is not justified by the works of the law. James writes about works (fruit) of the Spirit (love, meekness etc) for which against is no law (Gal 5;22-23).
It's not the term that defines what justification it is, but it's the type of work.
    Blessings in Jesus's

James was written before the Crucifixion.

Wow. I never even thought about that possibility. Care to expand on this topic? I’m super curious and working on my dissertation that touches on some aspects of this idea.

@@ThatDudeLarzFoo-ah Well, first I would suggest you reread James, asking yourself this question about each verse: "Is it impossible that this verse was written before the Crucifixion?" There is no verse in James that couldn't have been written before the Crucifixion. Even James 5:7 which contains the supposed "proof" has no word or concept that mandates a pre Crucifixion authorship. As you probably already know Parousia is a pre-Crucifixion word. Also the total absence of any hint of the Passion and it's ramifications demands a pre -Crucifixion authorship.
Oh, one last thing for now, you'll be "Shunt" Exiled. Ostracized. and maybe even Failed, if you tell anybody its a legitimate idea.

@@richardmclaughlin8345 I’ve become familiar with the strange proclivity of people who deem themselves as the end all be all of doctrine and/or ideologies.
Especially, strangely enough in regards to the authorship and interpretation of this particular Epistle. I’m glad it’s not “Just” me. (Haha. James The Just reference intended.)

@@richardmclaughlin8345 I always thought James’s notable absence of The Crucifixion could have been due to the fact it had yet to occur at the time of his writing it. Other motifs I pick up on are more nuanced and lead me to speculate about a potential that it was intended for an even more specific audience than just James:1-3 lays out.
I love all of this stuff tho. I’m a big fan of digging into The Word and allowing The Spirit to guide my discernment and understanding.
