The crime, poverty and filth of the ghetto have not held Mzambiya back from becoming a pop star with thousands of adoring fans. He can sing, dance and capture the stage as a teenage showman. His album has sold more than 80 000 copies in just two months. Mzambiya was discovered at the age of ten, when he appeared on a television talent show. Oscar Mlangeni, a producer, said when he first saw Mzambiya "he's gotta be a genius of some sort". The young star belongs to a new wave of South African musicians who embrace Kwaito music. The songs are raucous, colourful and true to life. Kwaito draws on American hip hop and local African rhythm and is sung in township slang.

To be honest there has never been a greater revelation. A Kwaito legend being interviewed by an Australian
I play Mzambiya even today. He indeed knew that we will always love him,
How impressive he brought his parents a house in an age of 12 years old
Bulldawgz Records is not applauded enough for the work they have done unearthing talents like Mzambiya Mshoza Msawawa and producing constant hits
It goes with manipulating also
There's a lot of didies
I have been in TH-cam for long time, how come I didn't see this beautiful story about mzambiya
That's way before music was flooded by untalented 'musicians'. Kwaito was the best music genre ever come out of South Africa. I really miss the 90s where Kwaito music was played everywhere. My favourite songs by Mzambiya are Zola and Zikode. The good old days will never come back!!
Zola had the best talent back then and these guys are nevee credited
This is so beautiful, thank you Mzabiya for giving us such great music of which i enjoyed in my youth day and now I've also become a star and big ups to Bulldowg for giving this kid a chance, God bless you played a big role in my life
I love this kid. He’s so smart, respectful, humble. Good head on his shoulders.
No longer a kid but a magnificent matured business man
This is the first time am seeing this... beautiful
He was not just a South African star.. Maybe African, cuz I know we loved him in Botswana too.. Wow he was quite humble at a young age... Beautiful Documentary, love the Voice Over as well, positive vibes .. 2024 I'm here 🔥🔥🔥
ah ntwana, you really gave us good times in the past and I still rock your music loud especially the song called Of Love & Kwaito, damn killer. Big up dogg, I think you've to come back at least with a last album to bless us ntwana or kanjan'?
He's a legend melesenzeni . he gave Mshoza and Msawawa their monikers
Eisan little mzambiya xem .my favorite kwaito artist zikode
Hope mzambiya has video clip of this legend
Propaganda. The clip is showing Kliptown which is the poorest section in Soweto. They are not showing us Zola. I hate it how international media portray South Africa
who still on 2019
This nigga been Lit, zazazeling way before abo Travis Scott.
we still love him
Starring 🎉🎉
mxm they still enjoying their victory by portraying our countries in that way, why can't they show our beautiful cities?
Cities we still cnt afford to live in though
When times were better
I still got love for this guy.
understand he was young...now he can speak English......2019
It doesn’t matter English is not his first language so it doesn’t matter
eintleke mandje,mzambiya well done
Very mature for his age
Wow 🎉
Wow.
THIS IS TOTAL RUBBISH how the Australians come to this country and present a different narrative, presenting kliptown which is one of the worst slums in the country, as though its Zola... International viewers of this at the time must have thought the entire South Africa looks this way. TOTAL NONSENSE!!!
Sometimes reality at some place have to be shown. You know that the foreigners who watch this will mind about this detail but positively, know that they should be grateful at what they have. This is also shows the pride and hope that poverty driven places still have, which in other hand westerners really don't often account for.
And imagine this reversed then, when only the rich neighborhoods are shown. Then it would seem again that the poor places are forgotten and ignored.
yes that was misleading, I thought he came from those slums that they showed first but he had a decent home growing up
@@njsman7640 Nah the story was about Mzambiya they didnt have to show an irrelevant place to tell his story.
Kwaito music helped a lot people back then to make a living from musicians and producers
He is still better than cassper nyovest
🧢
😂
Our childhood hero
1:16 Morals, Motives and Intentions....#Mzambiya was not greedy to #Msawawa....Whoever Fastened this machine did a good Job.
Its not hip hop. Its kwaito
Not hip hop
G.O.A.T
Name of the song at 3 minutes please
Ma-Hiklas
Ma-Hiklas, it’s a very nice song
It's not Ma-Hiklas by him. He is freestyling on the instrumental of the song "Unganxami" by his label colleagues Jackbeat.
Quite Oh
