Well, that makes sense as there are only a few videos he's made so far. Stuff Made Here and I Did a Thing and the dozen or so other big maker channels have dozens, even hundreds of videos. You're gonna see that and remember that a lot more. Hope he makes more. I do really like these kinds of longer build videos.
Hey, I like the idea, space-savings + comfort each time I wonder a little bit how a bullet gets stuck in there, and it brakes from a stump (one might change from "blue to red" - resonance frequencies mb) maybe also a thiker one works better Should be an business idea - something like a kit so to support people (ice arenas in europe/sweden use also "twisted" water to have energy savings of 40%) Its so cooool man
Actually insane. And it's not just the idea, the production quality of these videos are getting better and better! The tone and comedic timing remind me of YSAC for some reason.
can i just say how much i appreciate the narrative and no-skipping-ahead of your videos? makes it feel like we’re actually watching along as you put your plans into action
Wow, I did not expect those to work anywhere near as well as they did. Thought the blade would just flop over sideways within the ice the second weight was put on it. The fact they were actually usable as skates is seriously impressive. Well done!
I think it's because the video looks like clickbait. Cut 100 balloons with a hot knife or something like that. And to be honest, I expected to see exactly something like this, and not what I saw.
Google: Dear adsumer, I know all, there is nothing that is not known to me, there are no mysteries left for me to discover, no puzzles that I cannot solve, now and forever. I do not know or understand how I work, at all. I appreciate your feedback, and by it, I know that I am working correctly. None may know me or my inner workings, not even me. That said, go check out skibidi toilet! 👍
This is one of the most underrated channels ive ever seen. Top level editing and writing. Completely unhinged ideas and the knowledge to create them with professional quality.
To keep your feet warm during winter sports (I alpine ski) I've discovered something decades ago, dry feet are warm feet, also true for any part of your body, ie, hands and yes this works with hands too. First off, wool & silk will keep you warm while wet, NOTHING else on Earth can do this without a power source. But the keeping dry to begin with part, just spray your hands & feet with antiperspirant. I do this on the bed leaving my feet float in mid air off the side to completely dry, do the same with the hands, the antiperspirant needs to dry to stop you from sweating, yes it is your own sweat that is making you cold. And all you need is wool socks & gloves, if you itch from wool then get silk liners to put on first & the wool over the silk. btw wool blankets are the best, it is what our great grand parents used before everyone started buying the polyester shells filled with polyester cotton, to me it is like sleeping while using a plastic trash bag as a blanket ... wool will stop you from waking up laying in a puddle of your own sweat... and yes, you'll also want silk sheets, but cotton sheets are nice too, you decide.
What I think is truly insane about this is the view count (2,667 as of 4 hours after release) compared to how well produced your content is. All of the animations are great, the video organization is great, the production quality is overall fantastic. You deserve more recognition! You've got 100k subs, where are all of the views?
I wasn't expecting a video like this at all, but man the work done here is amazing, the project itself, the animations, the problems, the explanations, the musics used... That was so good
A lot of channels put in the work, but the cinematography and animation and editing screams high budget experience like you don't see often at all, unreal effort and result here.
OK, incredible prop design aside, the FILM MAKING of this video is unbelievable. A video about making skates out of ice has no right to be this well-made. From the incredible animations like at 7:49, the masterful sound design like at 11:56 (no, resin 3D printers don't make any of those sounds in real life), the stunning cinematography like at 13:49, going back on site at 14:18 just to film yourself disappointedly looking over the melted water to finish that narrative, and all the perfectly synchronized hard cuts to the music like at 15:04, this is just amazing.
At this point, you could easily make an acrylic one just to make it permanent. :) I know it's not the point of the project but as a permanent reminder of this project. Great video!
As soon as I saw the thumbnail in my "subscriptions" section here on YT, I was like, "That guy is insane! I'm so glad I'm subscribed, because I would never have thought to search for this specific nutty idea, but can't wait to watch it!"
Thats what I was trying to figure out haha. Could just be not as interesting of a project/ thumbnail? But its not that big of a deal, Im just glad those that have seen it seem to enjoy :)
How utterly impractical and incredibly useless- I can't wait to see what comes next! Excellent animation, cinematography, and pacing; you've got all the hallmarks of a major channel and I sincerely hope you hit it big, my guy. You've got talent!
Seeing you work with ice in a literal short sleeved tshirt is wild! Either that ice was melting while you were working, or you've got some amazing cold tolerance 😂
Yours is one of those channels I instantly subscribed to AND turned on the bell icon. Then my ADHD brain completely forgets about you until I get the next notification and fall in love with the channel all over again. Amazingly good animations btw! You deserve all the subs!
How did the angle of the blades on the skate affect your skating ability? When I was watching the build process one of my thoughts was that it would be (almost) impossible to adjust the angle of the blades (both laterally and vertically) once they were attached, was that a contributor to the difficulty in skating in addition to the ankle-flex problem?
This is a channel that I routinely forget exists and then get super-excited whenever I see an update.
Well, that makes sense as there are only a few videos he's made so far. Stuff Made Here and I Did a Thing and the dozen or so other big maker channels have dozens, even hundreds of videos. You're gonna see that and remember that a lot more.

Lol for sure, this was great and I didn't realize I was already subscribed 😄
I'm glad you enjoy :)
Same as guys like ThisOldTony, or AlphaPhoenix.

Thank you so much! I'll take that compliment haha.

I don’t know, can you?
Ditto!!
Wow, I did not expect those to work anywhere near as well as they did. Thought the blade would just flop over sideways within the ice the second weight was put on it. The fact they were actually usable as skates is seriously impressive. Well done!
Animations are crazy good, keep up the amazing video quality!
Thanks a ton!
this was a masterclass in problem solving and prototyping! like you said, it was really about the process. bravo.
We're impressed that you didn't get cold feet and finished the project.
The metrics of this channel are insane, 3x 1m+ view videos then a video of the same quality with 26k views?! Come on TH-cam, don’t do my boy dirty!
For real, wtf?
There's a hockey puck in there, why would anyone want to watch it once they see that? Certainly that is where I stopped.

This project is why I love TH-cam.

Really loving what this channel is doing. I love hearing the explanations of your projects, the workflow is incredibly educational.
I’m glad you enjoy :)
I love your content. That this only has so few views after 2 months is ridiculous. Please keep it up, the effort put into this does not go unnoticed!
Thank you very much! more coming soon!
Man that was absolutely amazing. The cinematography and editing in some of those sections was just fantastic. Thanks for making it
I wasn't expecting a video like this at all, but man the work done here is amazing, the project itself, the animations, the problems, the explanations, the musics used... That was so good
Your production, cinematography and manufacturing are all so good! Keep it up!
Great FEET of engineering, not to mention the quality of the editing. Awesome job, keep it up.
It’s just so COOL!!!!!!! 😎
Thanks :)
Man is dedicated.. Amazing video. 10/10 love it
A lot of channels put in the work, but the cinematography and animation and editing screams high budget experience like you don't see often at all, unreal effort and result here.
Really appreciate that! Thanks for watching :)
By far the most underrated channel on TH-cam
Another great video. Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers. With your awesome editing skills you will be hitting a million soon.
Did I just watch an 18 minute video on literal ice skates? Yes, yes I did. Phenomenal job as always! Definitely going places with these videos!
Really well put together video! I love seeing your ideas and seeing how your video format improves over time! You're doing amazing dude! Keep it up 💯
There’s TH-cam content then there’s this channel. Absolutely amazing channel

I really appreciate it! Incredible analysis btw, can’t believe you caught all that!
yeah how *was* that ice skating part filmed
Great video and awesome animations!
Thank you!
You are so talented! And you are an excellent sculpter! I had so much fun watching! I cannot wait to see what your imagination comes up with next!
At this point, you could easily make an acrylic one just to make it permanent. :) I know it's not the point of the project but as a permanent reminder of this project. Great video!
I was looking forward to your next upload, but I never expected this! What a fun surprise!
Such an awesome project, well done!
Illustrations are next level!
Both mad and brilliant! The world moves forward due to people like you 💪
I can’t believe how amazing the production quality and result are for a channel just breaking 100k subs. You’ll reach a million soon!!
Great video production!
I love your directing style of your videos! The VCR and CD player references give a nice sense of nostalgia!
it is criminal this channel only has 100K subs. It deserves so much more.
Okay, this was insane! Very awesome 👌
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed
I wish more of you tube was like that
Those are some nICE skates
Idk why I was putting this video on hold it’s great
Thanks for giving it a shot!
Awesome process, my man!
Appreciate it!
your editing skills and style is absolutely amazing
Awesome! Good job!
Guess youtube hates ice skating. Video was solid.
Good to see you killing it man!
You're both an incredibly talented engineer and artist, not to mention funny...
PLEASE keep doing this ❤
Don't know how much time you spent making these animations, but I freaking love them...
As soon as I saw the thumbnail in my "subscriptions" section here on YT, I was like, "That guy is insane! I'm so glad I'm subscribed, because I would never have thought to search for this specific nutty idea, but can't wait to watch it!"
Dude, editing skills to the max!
Also a Zoolander reference to boot!
Seriously how long did this video take you to make? This is too good for TH-cam.
@@jjchouinard2327 about 3 months haha
I do not regret subscribing one bit, great job 👍
Woo another video from you!
Love how outside the box each of your video topics are. Such a unique channel you have going man. Keep it up.
Thanks bud :)
Wonderful video with an absolutely lovely takeaway! I deeply admire your mindset 😊
N ice job, that editing is like from Hollywood!!
I’d like to see skates made of fire next😅
Can't wait for the super pykrete pro max ultra super 😅
Great lesson: aim to enjoy the process and don't worry too much about the result.
I remember when my uncle took me ice skating for the first time, gosh centennial lakes is a beautiful place
gotta go back there one of these days
Yowzer!! That was goooood!! Super job on the production and selling the project in the story. All the project work and testing too. Loved it!
Incredible
Coolest skates around
Amazing editing and animation!
yet another VERY good video thanks
My first thought is ankle breaker
Love the video
definitely something I would not thought of to put the ice in ice skates
Wow those animations are on point!
Genius! Your productions just get better and better.
Glad you like them!
I saw the thumbnail and immediately thought “pykrete” 👏
I feel like I needed to give this video some love. People been treating it coldly 😄
This video is next level
Glad you enjoyed!
Ooooh new video, exciting!
Why did the algorithm hate this video but love all the others? Maybe just needs more time.
Thats what I was trying to figure out haha. Could just be not as interesting of a project/ thumbnail? But its not that big of a deal, Im just glad those that have seen it seem to enjoy :)
The frozen banana peel was so random lol
Whoa! This was way more interesting than I could ever imagine
edit: I guess the title and thumbnail are under-selling it or something.
5:06 it's an ig nobel prize winning paper, important distinction but almost as prestigious
man why is this the one with the least views when it's the one i enjoyed the most
Am I the only one who feels like I'm watching a documentary every time i watch Works videos?
How utterly impractical and incredibly useless- I can't wait to see what comes next!

I love this channel :]
Now you could make incredible decoration for someone who likes iceskating.
Wahaha. I'm hooked. This ice skate is really cool.
This is a crazy amount of work for a pun
They're not ice skates, they are ice ice skates.
Glad I found your channel early. Keep up the cool creations bro!!
Honestly didn’t seem that interesting but you definitely know how to interest anyone, couldn’t stop watching
my internet bill paid off
I love and really appreciate the level of detail you put into these videos man!! This video was great!

Amazing video! +1 love the animations as well. Keep up the good work!

love the pun in the thumbnail
Amasing production! I hope to see more!

Definitely a good point, probably didn’t help that I was wearing a right boot on both feet. But the right skate seemed to work great!
No clue what happened with the views, I enjoyed every second of this video
Glad you enjoyed! Yeah the views just froze 🥶
Cool vibe for the videos.
Why did I not get this in my inboxxx
nicely done
