- The white Wisconsin father who rushed the stage and shoved a black school superintendent during his daughter's high school graduation ceremony denied on Friday that he is a racist.
Matt Eddy did not personally show up for a court hearing, but his lawyer made it clear that the incident had nothing to do with color.
'My client understands racism concerns,' said attorney Karl Gebhard III. What happened on May 31 had absolutely nothing to do with race.'
Baraboo School Superintendent Rainey Briggs was in court applying for a restraining order against Eddy. It was granted by the judge. Yeah... I still have questions, sit down sir....

She looked really embarrassed up on the stage and did not know what to do. I admit that high school was is in my past, but this girl got to graduate let alone WALK across the stage and she was EXPELLED??? Can someone define expelled for me in 2024, because it damn sure doesn;t mean the same thing since I attended high school..
Some kids I graduated with got expelled from a couple schools in our district. They basically can still go to a different one in the district just not the particular school they got expelled from. It was actually quite difficult to get expelled. Like one girl disappeared in 7th grade and did not reappear until junior year of high school. I thought she'd moved away. Turned out she got expelled and had to finish middle school in the next town.
