Airports are everywhere and those planes need handlers too.
So what do you do while the ship is in its home port ?
In port ABHs paint needle clean paydeyes and do TAD ( temporary assigned duty ) jobs

How do you get into crash and salvage ?
Elijah G you just let them know that you want to go Crash when you get on the boat it’s not easy and it’s a lot of work to get qualified but it’s worth it

Just arrived to my first command, also an ABH. Yes the job is dangerous. You’ll learn all the hazard areas and things not to do while in school. The main thing is being vigilant and not losing focus while on the flight deck. Easy way to hurt yourself or others.
