ONX Offroad challenge is a several days so you'll want something small enough to make the trails but big enough to carry all your gear and camping equipment. A Jeep scrambler maybe?
Now this looked like a fantastic ride. I loved how helpful the spotting was…It wasn’t a bunch of overconfidence….and the rigs weren’t unlimited checkbook builds……These are the kind of rides I think are the best. See ya at Hammers Hollie…..If we ever get Ben’s rig done….LOL
What should you build for ONX? CJ7 with 4.0L. Look for something already built or stalled project with most of these: roll cage, doubler, Dana 60s double locked, 42s, and winch. Pay attention to what Colt did this year. Buy everything used. Then wheel it for a month before the competition. Good luck.
For the build I would say a Jeep Cherokee like Matt's but I think it would be cool if used a 5.7 Hemi there is a motor mount kit through Summitt Racing I'm what else you would need but with a little research you could have a great build putting the Hemi that build. Anyway give it some thought and hope you will do it.
You know what I’ve found out after watching all your four wheeler guys videos. You have. One thing in common. That you say “ IT WILL BE FINE” About everything trails, repairs everything.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey Hollz!! You are always so calm cool and collected during your seat time! Its true MM is just second nature to you! You both work so well together! You are a true pro behind the wheel! For Onyx..I got an idea..how about building a WINNER!! 😋😉 I bet you will be the winner! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 🍻
What a fun day there Holly. Always fun content!! I am making a trip down there next month with some friends to play for a week, we have been looking forward to it for months. Keep it up !!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Build a ZJ. Yes, it's unibody. But it can be found on a budget with V8 power and links and coils at both ends. Good aftermarket, not too big outside, but good storage space inside.
Cool video looks like all had a great time. As for the challenge, see if you can find an old school Commanche. That would be a good platform to start with, and tons of storage in the bed.
One camera had great shots and scenery, the other camera was awful 😢. I truly hate to be critical. Mischief Maker deserves the best. He’s a handsome boy!
Consider a CJ-3B for a build. Built from 1953-1964 ish. There is a nice one in John Day, or. It's on a 1971 or 1972 frame, on 35 inch tires, and has a 225 V-6 odd fire engine. This would be a great build for the small tire competition. Just a thought.
For the onX challenge I think it would be cool if you could find a CJ7 or a Jeep Scrambler to do. Might be harder to find but would be super cool to see. Especially the scrambler.
Another great video! I am so bummed that I'm not there for the trail ride and the shop shindig. I hope you have a blast. For On-X I think you should look at the old GMC Jimmy's, about the 2001 - 2005 year range. Tough, durable, similar in size and design to the s10 that bleeping colt did last year
@MichiefMakerTV, Holls, Build a 66-73 Jeepster Commando. I have seen plenty of them sitting on property along my travels through Utah , so you should be able to find one.
I know you want to keep it in the Jeep family but, I personally feel as if Jeeps are overdone and that Toyota needs more love. You should take an already moderately capable FJ Cruiser and go absolutely bananas with it!
Personally I think it would be smart to do another 2 door jk build to get built as a trail use clone to your race car, all the more seat time in the same chassis as your race build
He spent all day cleaning the shop and putting away tools and taking tires and parts to the storage unit. Planning a BBQ meet & greet at the shop a few days before we leave for hammers probably wasn’t the best idea 😅
just remember hollie the 2 main rules on the trail. rule #1 things will break , rule #2 you can not prodict nor change rule # 1 great video , isnt triple 7 in matt;s back yard?
What to build? I'm thinking that a Jeep Rubicon for the working man with a wife, a couple of kids, and a dog. Something mild that can hit average trails and get groceries. In other words, a capable street rig. Something mild, not wild. 3" lift and 35s max. I'm a 2 door man, but if you have kids, a 4 door is a must. You don't need one tons, expensive coil overs, long arms, and 40s to have fun in a Jeep.
Forget all the other comments about xj, th, ej, zj, and so on. Build an old JEEP pickup. I had '67 3/4 ton pickup with a 512 inch Buick and a 14 bolt rear from a dually wheel Chevy plus all the other drive train goodies. I also ran it on strictly propane as I built the engine with 12:1 compression. Now I a '63 JEEP pickup on a Suburban chassis with a 500 inch Cadillac engine. I say you build an old JEEP pickup.
I suggest building an old 2 wheel drive right hand drive US Mail Jeep for the offroad challenge.

Build Them All Holls! You have soo much free time...! Thanks for having us at your shop. It was great to see and be there!
For the challenge build, a factory V8 Jeep Cherokee 5.9L.
A WWII era Military Jeep for the challenge. Have you seen those things crawl?

Great job on leading the Winter 4X4 Run Holly. Everyone had a Great time🤙😎
What an awesome day! Thank you for sharing
I agree with Hollie. TJ ! But MAKE IT A CHIEF EDITION WRANGLER TRIBUTE. IN WHITE STRIPE CHIEF BLUE 🚙
Gah Hollie! That scream! And washed out filmography! Glad you had fun!
The build challenge needs to see a Jeep Commander on 42" tires.
Do a XJ or a MJ. They are overall cheap and perform really well, also have more interior space

What I’d like to see is 70s gladiator don’t see many of them out there.
I love her she is awesome!!!!
For the build challenge, definitely an LJ, short enough to be versatile, but enough room to have everything you need with you.
Commando on an LJ chassis!
LJ with one ton axles. Get Colt to help you
@@jeff750r @thefabrats is doing one on a JK frame
I agree with the LJ 100%
@@bryanomicioli3301 Could go ol'skool and stretch a CJ7?
Thanks Hollie,
It was a fun day on Trip 7's I always enjoy wheeling with you, MM, and friends. #KSJeepPilot
I like the confidence you have now with your welding abilities. A year ago or so, not so much.... Now look at you!
I'm really enjoying my WJ. That could be a build challenge option

BUILD A ZJ!!! The best damn jeep ever made
Your build needs to be a 2nd gen Tacoma, acess cab, short box, just like the 1 you already have
Jeep m715 truck is my favorite. Ive wanted one for years but can't afford. I love watching BSF Recovery build a M715.
a full size 70s cherokee would my top choice
You know what I’ve found out after watching all your four wheeler guys videos. You have. One thing in common. That you say “ IT WILL BE FINE” About everything trails, repairs everything.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looked like a fun day and that shout out to Josh, you’re the best!

Hello my lovely lady lol please build a wj 2001 if possible then you can teach them Bleeping guys a lesson
LJ is the way to go for the build!
Always love the positivity on this channel
You are the sweetest person ever. And absolutely show the best side of the off-road world hollie
Build a Jeep Comanche!
Sorry we missed out on your festivities today, we were plumb tuckered out after our trail ride,,, ;)
It’s okay, this is just the first of many!! Hopefully we will catch you next time.
Build an AMC eagle wagon with wood panels 🎉
Great day on 777s. Thx for letting us tag along.
Find a old willy's jeep. To build for the onx challenge!!
What a fun day there Holly. Always fun content!! I am making a trip down there next month with some friends to play for a week, we have been looking forward to it for months. Keep it up !!!! 🎉🎉🎉
not far off 100k subs and you deserve it!! your killing it!
My thots exactly!!
Build a ZJ. Yes, it's unibody. But it can be found on a budget with V8 power and links and coils at both ends. Good aftermarket, not too big outside, but good storage space inside.
Saludos perdona no se escribir en ingles pero lo hablo,tu jeep es una bestia y walter que te ayuda 🇵🇷🇵🇷 bendiciones 🇵🇷🇵🇷✌️
Bien dicho
Holley you have come a long ways from when that guy called you just a steering wheel holder, very impressive.
HEY! Good morning lovely lady!!
Should build an old wagoneer. You have the jk and i believe a jl? Might be time to branch out to jeep heritage a little.
Cool video looks like all had a great time. As for the challenge, see if you can find an old school Commanche. That would be a good platform to start with, and tons of storage in the bed.

Holly but of course a Jeep. Looks like you all had a great time.

If you are planning on doing UA again, i'd look at an XJ. It will be a little more comfortable to live out of.
If you need any Welding take it to Hollie lol. Thanks for the video Hollie i hope you film the BBQ ,would love to see it.
For the onX challenge I think it would be cool if you could find a CJ7 or a Jeep Scrambler to do. Might be harder to find but would be super cool to see. Especially the scrambler.
Looks like a White Kansas Pot county Jeep at the end.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Oh my dear it definitely needs to be a Tj or Lj 😊
Another great video! I am so bummed that I'm not there for the trail ride and the shop shindig. I hope you have a blast.
For On-X I think you should look at the old GMC Jimmy's, about the 2001 - 2005 year range. Tough, durable, similar in size and design to the s10 that bleeping colt did last year
Something that works
@MichiefMakerTV, Holls, Build a 66-73 Jeepster Commando. I have seen plenty of them sitting on property along my travels through Utah , so you should be able to find one.
I would love to see a Comanche build, not many people build them so I’d love to see what you could do with one.
Hollie,you should build a comanche
I was waiting for bloopers 😅
For the OnX build challenge, do a KJ with a solid front axle swap
I know you want to keep it in the Jeep family but, I personally feel as if Jeeps are overdone and that Toyota needs more love. You should take an already moderately capable FJ Cruiser and go absolutely bananas with it!
Awesome 👍👍
Old postal jeep would he fun for on-x
Yep i have the same look when leading people that dont wheel 😂
Did anyone else notice the Jeep they were fixing, the Metalcloak rear trackbar jam but was loose ?
Go Commando! ....for the Onyx
Oh what thots just went thru my head! 😂😈 Brazilian Commando would work! 😂😂 Hollz is gonna kill me! Lol
Personally I think it would be smart to do another 2 door jk build to get built as a trail use clone to your race car, all the more seat time in the same chassis as your race build
Be Unconventional, Hollie. Go with a WJ. Might even convince Tom Tom to sell you one.
#SeatTimeOverEverything
#TeamFergus
#WeLoveWalter
Build yourself a comanche
I think an original cj8 scrambler custom build would set off a true Jeep following?
Sometimes the quick fix will last longer than if you repair it correctly!!
Wow Michelle are any of the Jeeps aired down to me it doesn't look like it only the way they are going up those rocks.
I think you should find a old military Jeep and build that
Um foung to be late for the bar b que. Late enough it aing going to happe.😂❤
I got to get out there sometime this year.
HOLLY! Where is Walter's Truck?????
Build a 1945 Willies Pick-up would be cool.
Tj r the best Jeep ever made a tj/lj would be a awesome build
Make a statement with your build challenge! All electric Wagoneer! 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
To me, Jeep is always a go to for anyone getting into rock crawling. To change it up, I would suggest a 3rd gen Ford Bronco.
CJ7 or scrambler would be cool! Ian Johnson built one an your a better hand so take his😂
am waiting to see wallter on the trail
He spent all day cleaning the shop and putting away tools and taking tires and parts to the storage unit. Planning a BBQ meet & greet at the shop a few days before we leave for hammers probably wasn’t the best idea 😅
You should build an XJ.
One of those pickup truck jeep 4dr.
No Comanche IMO. I had one. Too small in the cab. Swapped a set of buckets from a 280z and still too small.
Jeepster. Preferably an older one
So an LJ for On X Challenge. If you can find one. Your already comfortable with the longer wheelbase. Just sayin...
That guy in that green 2dr Rubicon that had to get a second run to make it did have his front locker on or its not working
A late 60's to early 70's ford bronco.
just remember hollie the 2 main rules on the trail. rule #1 things will break , rule #2 you can not prodict nor change rule # 1
great video , isnt triple 7 in matt;s back yard?

STS 🤘
How about an Jeep FC170 for the OnX challenge.
I would build a cj7 or a yj. Keep it old school because everyone is building the newer jeeps
Build an LJ Hollie
Do a xj with roof tent
Build a Jeep JKU with a rear door delete and short bed similar to a Brute Jeep conversion
A Jeep Scrambler would be a cool build. Not sure how hard they are to find?
Forget all the other comments about xj, th, ej, zj, and so on.
Build an old JEEP pickup.
I had '67 3/4 ton pickup with a 512 inch Buick and a 14 bolt rear from a dually wheel Chevy plus all the other drive train goodies.
I also ran it on strictly propane as I built the engine with 12:1 compression.
Now I a '63 JEEP pickup on a Suburban chassis with a 500 inch Cadillac engine.
I say you build an old JEEP pickup.
At time stamp 3:40 if id didn't know better I'd say that's Steven Hawkins.
Most of those appeared to be stock Jeeps with lift kits and oversize tires. Lockers would have helped some of them.
