The drums sound like garbage. Even the snare. Just my opinion tho.
Gotta remember though that's the sound man an the way hes got it set. They are just playing. With a show like that its up to the sound man to get it right. Cuz they are on beat an time, but if you secluded most the band and just have a loud ass kick drum, nobody would sound good. Trust me I've seen them live... Its an incredible experience!

I just joined a band, and i am a decent drummer, but I am nervous about playing live, but after hearing how pat is kinda all over the place, I feel much better. Less anxiety about being perfect.
I recommend you listening to one of the black keys podcasts with joe rogan. I think it’s the last one they did. Basically talks about your situation and how he handled it but he does say he realized that no one else in the crowd is gonna know where you mest up. So why worry so much on perfection which is true when usually the greatest sound is usually in the imperfections. Goodluck btw

Lmaoooo the tempo is dragging EVERYWHERE in the first song it clearly sounds like garbage 😂 anyone with half a brain and half a developed time feel will tell you that, no shade on the other players tho. The drummer just really sucks and is too lazy to actually get solid which in the grand scheme of being a pro musician is easily achievable, especial if your main motivator is being in the Black Keys 😂 give me a break

Best concerts I've ever attended in 2014 and 2015. I listen to their CD's while driving in my car thinking about those concerts. I know they have won a Grammy for "Gold On The Ceiling", but they should receive an honor for "Best Fucking Band Ever"!

Best guitar tone I have ever heard live. I’d potentially go as far as to say the best sounding band I’ve ever heard live full stop, and I go to alot of gigs, it’s difficult to describe but in the room they sound so massive

Thanks for the upload! Can’t ever have too much Black Keys. This wasn’t their best performance and the mix was pretty bad, but still nice to have this out there and we finally get another live version of “Leavin’ Trunk” so that’s awesome. This was the time when they were really burnt-out from all the years of straight touring and you can tell. I was at their show at Outside Lands in SF and it was their last show of the Turn Blue Tour before taking the long break and it was very similar to this one. Glad to have them back with “Let’s Rock” though!🎸🎼👌

This is cool and all, but it sounds like mostly stage audio that was really poorly mixed. On top of that you can hardly hear any of the crowd at all, some might like that. But overall the audio of this performance is pretty trash😬
I hate Shakey Knees was cancelled but got to see them in Nashville last year🙌🏻🙌🏻
Yeah, this was before the damn pandemic was released. Which destroyed the entire concert business. Put a halt to everything.

Saw them in Salt Lake City during this tour, loved it. Pretty cool to release here. Audio was much better live. Guess this is as "Live" as we get anymore. Too bad, F&**ing COVID, was following the 2020 dates hoping to see them again.

I was there and the sound was bad,. it started to sound decent around half the show. that version of "too afraid too love you" was great though

The kick drum is way too loud in the mix. The opposite can be said for the snare and high hat.

the sound mix in this is so awful that covid is like a bless to keep the sound engineer far from consoles

@@R7Sports Pay attention to "Dead and gone", the trebble of the kick is too high. The snare (which is the parr of the drums that should sound with more treble) has less prescense than the kick. The engineer seems to improve the sound while the concert keeps running but the bands sound is not good. The bass is not well equalized as well.

It's hard for me to enjoy this concert when there is a commercial interruption every 3-4 minutes.
TH-cam premium is really cheap, and you also have TH-cam music, don't need to pay anymore for Spotify
I love the Black Keys & I'm sure this was a killer show...but the BLOODY KICK DRUM was mixed so loud I can't stand it...its drowning out everything and giving me a headache!!!! Just a bad mix all the way around....please get a new mix engineer!!!!
Hey man, this was 5 years ago.
I'm listening on not-so-bass heavy headphones and it sounds alright. To be fair most other festivals under-mix the bass and it's just as disappointing. And to be fair, festivals are very hard to mix for - they don't get a proper soundcheck, levels are constantly changing from one act to another, and to then translate that perfectly into a webcast is another layer of complexity added.
Love it! This is the type of music we make... check it out if need some more...

Everyone is talking about the Sound Engineer, and yeah, they are really THAT BAD. In this situation, you have the main sound feed, then the feed going to the video crew. You have to adjust levels for both. BUT, the cringe is the actual settings on the mics. This doesn't change between different feeds. Your hearing how he actually mixed the drums, which is probably the worst drum mix I've heard. Tom's sound horrible ( like cardboard boxes ), kick is mixed like a heavy metal bass drum...very "clipy"....not at all like it should be mixed for this style. I'm not even going to discuss Dan's mix......yeah, the Sound Engineer SUCKS
