This song is about a toxic relationship. BM and J.seph are "dead" to represent how the relationship is killing them with how they are unhappy,hurting and basically numb (which is showed by how they weren't moving throughout the video). if you read over their lyrics you can see how they described the relationship being painful and dangerous but they cannot escape. In the mv Somin and jiwoo are trying to get the boys attention and being clingy. They are the ones clinging onto the relationship despite how toxic it has become, preventing they're lovers from escaping. Towards the end of the MV the girls start to go crazy because they're realizing how bad the relationship actually is and how they are hurting the ones they love. No matter what they do they can never fix it. They deny it though, still not wanting to let go causing them to lose their minds. It's a very symbolic video with a beautifully tragic and heartbreaking story behind it. BM said himself that the song is about two people who loved too hard, turning a loving relationship into a toxic obsession.
I interpret the story in the MV (not necessarily the song) as being a bit more literal in that Somin and Jiwoo actually killed the guys so that they would never leave them, hence "you in me". I think the guys have been dead the whole time actually.
In the beginning we see things from the girl's perspective. To the girls BM and J.seph are still alive, though of course they are rather unresponsive (because in reality they are dead so can't respond). The rap parts illustrate what went on in the relationship to get to this point, almost like ghosts telling their story from beyond the grave or something. After BM's verse we (the viewer) essentially come back to reality and can now tell that BM and J.seph are dead. Then there is the difference in Somin's and Jiwoo's behavior at the end of the MV. Somin "breaks" and comes back to reality for a bit (with the viewer) and realizes what she's done, and we also get a glimpse at her madness, hence the crying and laughing. Jiwoo on the other hand is calm and collected the entire time, because she is perfectly happy in her delusion as long as she can keep J.seph "with" (or in) her.
But that's just me.
Magic or that too at this point I just think it all depends on how the person watching interpreted the MV. But your interpretation is very interesting and makes sense. 😊❤️

I saw somewhere that 'apego' was also a kind of torture machine that has the form of a human and has spikes on the arms and that both of Soomin and Jiwoo's scenes represent two different types of toxic relationships. Soomin's is not intentional that's why when she realizes what's happening she starts to freak out and laugh but Jiwoo's is 100% intentional bc she know what's she's doing

The song is about yearning for a love that's long died. Jiwoo and J.seph represent someone who is in denial that their love is 'dead' and Somin and BM represent someone who has realized that they've been chasing after a love that has 'died'.

The reason BM and J Seph look like zombies is because * *inhales to explain theory* * J Seph and Jiwoo are a couple in the mv BUT Jiwoo cheated on J Seph, after cheating on him, J Seph leaves Jiwoo and Jiwoo then realizes she wants him back again, that can explain her lyrics "Your the only one I love". In BM and Somin's case Somin abandons BM but also wants him back the thing is once Somin leaves BM, BM didn't handle the situation well. At the end Jiwoo apologizes to J Seph for cheating on him and is more calm about everything that occurred and she stays with J Seph, at the end in BM and Somin's case, Somin realizes the damage she has done to BM buy abandoning him and goes a bit crazy and then apologizes to BM, she knows she won't get him back again and if she did he would be different.

The boys are dead from the beginning but somin didn't realized cause she was drunk, so she is the type of person who isn't conscious of what her toxicity does that is why she is sorry and takes so much care of the corpse, in the other hand Jiwoo knows, all the dinner and everything was a set up she did and she is happy that J.Seph is dead cause now he is only hers forever, she is conscious of what she did and do not regret, also the neon lights show the word "Apego" which is an old "torture" device of a machine with the head of a women and her arms open, so when the person hugs the fake women they die cause the arms have spikes made of metal. Also "Apego" in Spanish means "An intense affective link, long lasting" so they had so much "apego" for them that they killed them, one because she didn't realized and the other one because she wanted him only for herself.
The hit they give us to know they are dead from the beggining is their dead emotionless way to be, looking at the void like BM is always doing until Somin fell asleep, but they look dead in the outside when both of the girls have realized what they did, when Somin wakes up from the hungover and when Jiwoo completely knows she is in control of J.Seph (When he is sitting in front of the mirror with her being him, kinda like seeing themselves and how is dead body can't do anything without her)
And why the boys only talk when one is out of the room (J.Seph) and the other is sleeping (BM) is because like they are dead they can only express their feelings to the viewer.

Already been explained but yea...Jiwoo & Somin's obsession with BM & J. Seph killed them. This and Don't recall are my favorite Kard mvs/songs since debut.

BM and J.Seph are "dead" emotionally in the relationship but Somin and Jiwoo won't let them go. Jiwoo is almost calculated and doesn't seem to care as long as they still present themselves as the perfect couple. Hence the candlelit dinner, polished appearances, organized room etc...Somin on the other hand is a hot mess (like their room) and BM's indifference and almost disgust towards her is starting to drive her crazy. She is very clingy despite his complete disinterest in her and it seems the more he ignores her the harder she tries.

To all that say that this is about a dead relationship, it is not. Read the lyrics, the girls literally killed the boys when they were going to break up with them. Basically they were dead from the beginning, but to tell the story they gave us a glimpse of them living. After they let us finally see them dead we could then see the obsessive nature of both those relationships.

Their death symbolizes their love that died and it's basically a giant metaphor for how she can't let go of their love. BM & J.seph turned into zombies serves as the damage of having obsession in a relationship which causes such a big toxic in their lives as the two girls Somin & Jiwoo regretted everything that was wrong. Jiwoo didn't mind to take J.seph to the hospital lol bcoz they can't bring everything back. Somin was insane bcoz she starts to blame herself for not giving value to BM when he was still fine, obsession kills tho.
