I met Jason David Frank at a comic con in 2017. He was super cool, as expected. I paid for 2 autographs, but he gave me 4 and took a picture with me. That was a childhood dream come true.
he came to galaxy-con but i did not meet him. His line was packed. $100 autographs. I did meet the austin st green, karan ashley and, jonny bosch. Told Austin that I thought his fight scene with the green ranger was great in Rita's lair because they were able to connect. That their needed to be more fight scenes. Austin said The Green candle (Rita's Lair). Austin was promoting the power rangers comic book. Then at the same con, different year, i met the other two and gave them knuckle-punches (Fist pops). I told them about my meeting with Austin, Jonny said I thought his fight scene was Goldar was pretty good. I was like HMMMM...that was good.

I was a very little kid when I went to see the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie in theaters. As soon as this theme started playing, I was so hyped I was about to shoot out of my seat like a rocket.
I like to imagine a series in the distant future, long after the the power rangers have long been extinguished, forgotten and evil has ever since won. That a rogue scavenger, a cocky A-hole treasure hunter, bereft of faith, hope and ruled by cynicism, finds an ancient treasure buried deep in the depths of a derelict backwater planets ocean. At first he thinks its just a run-of-the-mill zord from the "Final war" but after inspecting further discovers its one of the 7 original zeo zords of legend. The zord sensing the young mans innate attributes, deems him worthy to be its ranger, and thus makes him its new ranger, the genesis of the new green ranger begins! It then awakens and bursts through the oceans surface as the Dragonzord awakens from its ancient slumber! One of the last of the zords of the zeo crystal in existence. With its new (but reluctant) Ranger, Dragonzord begins a journey of both vengeance and justice to reclaim the light from the dark with all odds against it. Our unlikely hero and the greatest zord ever to exist march forward. And thus a multi season anime is born! With the spirit of all that came before it and the hope and promise of all that comes next ahead of it! I Like to imagine this in a gurren laguan style. Where the past is nothing but ghosts, but their influence is nothing to snuff at. I can imagine moments where both Tommies spirit is an influence, and just as powerfully, the essence of Rita's repulsas spirit fights for dominance over both the Dragonzords mind as well as the new rangers spirit. Like the struggle of lukes soul between vader and obiwan. But in the end the new ranger chooses to accept both rita's and olivers influences as well as his own choices, balancing the evil and just natures of the dragonzord in order to battle a new and absolute evil.
Now imagine the nemesis in this saga is an evil zordon, the left over from zordons energy wave from rangers in space, wielding the titantus Ranger suit and Titantus Ultrazord. Zordon the terrible versus the new green ranger and the resurected first generation Megazord crewed by 5 new rangers. 2 great warriors stand before an unspeakable evil resolute and fierce in determination. So it began, now it shall be finished.

I fist pumped when this theme kicked off. Even if it was only like 10 seconds, it was perfect.
