Hey there Scott, That may be the best bike you have reviewed for the price. That bike has a Bafang 1500watt peak motor with 100 N.M. of torque, large chain ring, wide BMX style handlebars, Samsung Battery with 21700 cells and full front and rear suspension. I had never seen a 20x3 in. tire ebike do that well on the sand before, must be the 100 N.M. of Torque. I know another bike you reviewed that could use that hub motor, you know the one I'm referring to with the 31.5ah battery. The Aipas F3 may not have that big of a battery but if more range is needed, they offer additional batteries at $299 and that's not bad for a UL listed Samsung battery. The batteries are not that large, you could strap 1or 2 easily enough to the rear rack if needed. Thank you once again for the thorough review Scott. I thought this was going to be just another folding 20 in. ebike but it has a lot to offer. Aipas put some nice features and thought into this bike using some high quality components. The only thing missing are hydraulic brakes but the bike does have 180mm rotors and seemed, at least to me, to have adequate stopping power. Not sure if this one has cruise control but for the price, I believe you get your monies worth and then some. Nice bike! See you in the next one Scott, now go out and have some more fun on this one.--------Take care, Steve.
Steve, you kill it with these comments. I feel like I do the review, then wait for your comment to add to it. hahahaha. Seriously, I feel like you would be great doing ebike reviews. I appreciate the constant support. And you are right, this was the best ebike I have reviewed for the money.
@scotthardesty from another review of this bike, it does have cruise control. The bottom button... the same one you used for the walk feature... you hold it down to set your speed. It will kick off if you add throttle. I ordered this bike Saturday, and according to the shipping information, it should be here Monday. Thanks for the great review! I'm excited to get my first ebike
Scott, great review! Seems like a good bang for the buck, especially with the full suspension and foldability. Thanks for always taking the time to make these detailed reviews. They are always helpful and appreciated!
Another great review Scott. I been wondering how this bike was going to do. Looks like one of the best bikes that you have reviewed for this price range. Looks like Aipas has put some thought into each of the new models. I am anxious for our new model M1’s to ship. Thanks for doing very detailed reviews. I am sure it helps many people decide what is the best bike that fits their budget.
Been looking for a competent folding e-bike in the 1000-1500 range. I can get 2 for this price. Hopefully this price will be in effect in late October. I think your review has sold me.
Thanks Scott for the solid review. My wife and I have a pair of the Aipas M2 bikes and love them but it is just to tall for her. She has a hard time mounting and especially dismounting the M2. Would you recommend this bike for a good replacement with similar performance to the Aipas M2? Thanks in advance for your input.
If she likes the style of the M2, she might be a fan of step thru of the C1. The F3 is physically smaller than both the M2 and the C1 but feels like a full size bike. I would take a look at both those options.
Great Review. Just got mine. Can you tell me what the name of the 2 apps you were using are on your cell? One for the battery level and the other for the milage to compare to the bikes readings? Thanks in advance.
I use Strava to track my mileage and the battery level is just an image I got from the internet. forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/battery-readings-is-it-really-that-hard.31654/
Yes. It performs like a normal bike. Just heavier to ride. You can see in my PAS 0 riding. I always start the road test riding the bike without assist.
Because when they tested it, they have a very light rider, who keeps it in the PAS1, no hills, no wind, no throttle. This is how all these companies test their mileage. Since mine are real world reviews and I am over 225lbs, my mileage is going to be drastically different.
Looking up the motor installed in the bike, I see that it actually appears to be a 350-500 watt 55nm torque motor. Instead of the rated specs. Is that false advertising or does ebike ratings work differently somehow?
Interesting. I got my info from their website, so I don't really know. I do know there is nominal and peak. The motor might have 55nm of torque during normal operation but 100nm during peak times.
I did an assmebly video with this and yes, it did show up in a TV box. I believe they do this so it will get handled better during shipping. I didn't see the wording BAFANG on the motor but it is possible to get the rear motor by Bafang that is unbranded so I cannot confirm. It does perform very well, that I can confirm.
So I wouldn't say it arrived in a TV Box. It does have a picture of a TV on the front but mine had at least 2 stickers on it saying what it was and the TV you are referring to says Aipas in it. And it weighs a lot more that any TV I ever got but I understand why some people would think otherwise. I like it so far and was a great price point compared to many others.
Was thinking of getting this bike. I'm new to e.bikes and was worried about the brakes. How do you feel about these brakes compared to hydraulic brakes.
Hydraulic brakes are nicer than mechanical brakes. They feel better, they stop better. You can get this bike and always put hydraulic brakes on it. The brakes on this bike is just fine, they are not going to give out and they will stop you. Since this is a budget bike, for me, I doubt I would switch them out.
If you look up the part number on the hub motor its says 500/750. I have my doubts on the torque. And the fenders are plastic. Good review. Are you not supposed to stop at stop signs in Chicago?
Hmmmm... normally if the motor says 500/750 that means its a 500w motor with 750w peak. I never even thought of looking up the part number on the hub motor. I stop at stop signs, but will also ride thru them if it is safe for me to do so. It is actually encouraged in Chicago (if it is safe) to help with the flow of traffic. Crazy I know.
@@scotthardesty Scott, what wattage does the sticker say on the bike? Anything over 750 watt continuous (not peak) in the U.S. is not street legal as an Ebike. It’d be a moped for purposes of licensing, registration, insurance etc. California just re-affirmed the 750 watt limit in SB-1271. I am being very cautious when shopping. This manufacture (unlike Lectric) is unclear on their continuous / peak wattage on their site and in third party seller literature.
About 2 weeks into this bike Only complaints are the pedals For the rear suspension idunno even if my adjustments made a difference my ass hurts after riding for a while.
@scotthardesty well I've had it charging for 5 hours now and I checked it at about 3 hours of charging and the screen flashed and wouldn't come back on so idk . I plugged it back in
@scotthardesty i figured out what I was doing wrong. I watched your review video again and seen you had the key straight. I assumed the key had to be turned like in a car lol so I turned the key straight then hit the power button and it worked. Don't know when I'll get a chance to try it out because I'm in ohio and it's freaken cold and I've never rode a e bike and kinda nervous about it but I can ride a motorcycle so surely I can ride this. Thanks for all the info !

Thank you for watching and thanks for the support!
Just ordered one. Thanks for the discount code. Im a big boy so ill put that llweight limit and suspension to the test
Oh boy. Let me know how it goes!
Good review Scott! That would be a great bike for campers or motor home folks. Pretty impressive what it did in sand with only 3 inch wide tires👍
Right?! I was very surprised as well.
Awesome, review!! I need to get one.
Best Bang for the Buck in my opinion.
I cant believe how protected and clean the wiring is as well absolute genius design
I am sure Aipas appreciates the comment!
I was about to pull the trigger until I saw Gear Adventures video on the company. Now I am back to the Nomad 1 plus
I will have to check their video out. I did also review the Nomad 1 Plus.
Great review of an interesting ride.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks Terry, Aipas puts out decent bikes for the price. They told me there will be sending me an M1 when they are available.
Looks cool
Agreed!

Really great review. One thing, can you bounce up and down on the bike so we can see the range of motion of the suspension?
Unfortunately, I cannot. I show how it bounces during the size and fit.
Great review, never saw any shifting. 🤔💭
I shifted during the speed tests. I had no issues with the bike shifting, but interesting observation.

Hey Scott just so i heard correct....once the bike loses power you can still use pedals to get home right?
Yes. It performs like a normal bike. Just heavier to ride. You can see in my PAS 0 riding. I always start the road test riding the bike without assist.
@scotthardesty thanks!
Mines didn’t come with the basket as i ordered. Do the baskets come with different shipping?
Yes, with most companies I have dealt with, accessories (baskets, bags, etc) are shipped separately.
@ Thanks
Aipas mentions 74 miles to a charge, on the F3. Why is that so different from your test drive? Thanks
Because when they tested it, they have a very light rider, who keeps it in the PAS1, no hills, no wind, no throttle. This is how all these companies test their mileage. Since mine are real world reviews and I am over 225lbs, my mileage is going to be drastically different.

yeah, this bike does not feel like a foldable bike, which is nice.
