    Thanks for your practical video sir. The thing that I'm struggling with is that most of the time I don't know the exact word for it in English and I immediately check the word for it. Is it ok to check immediately or should I do another thing for it😅. I'll be really grateful if you help me😅🙏🏻🌸

    • @English.Fluency
      @English.Fluency  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello Melina! Yes, it's ok to immediately check the word didn't know! Once you found it, it's time to use it. For example, let's say you didn't know the word for "horse".
      Once you find it, create in your head a few phrases like "I like horses", "That horse is very tall!" "I want to learn to ride a horse". Also, make sure to hear the correct pronunciation and then use it. This will reinforce the new word into your brain, so you won't forget it ;) I made a video right on this topic, you can check it out here: th-cam.com/video/kjmEyPM00d0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jxRZvoF-9NmDbiI-

    'bout TH-cam I' ve found another method to improve, but just right now I don't remember honestly : let's take an example : songs sucha, on TH-cam, "American Boy" by Estelle feat another guy, is just too hard to understand but you should be able to slow down the song itself, without lyrics, to improve yourself. Issue is : I Don't remember where this button is located on TH-cam 🤔

      Hey there Paolino! You're right, slowing down the pace of the language is surely another good method! To do that, you want to use the cog on the right names "settings", then tap on "playback speed" 👌👌😊

    Bro which audiobooks could also help in this topic by reading speaking aloud ? Professional books offers less public daily life discussions.. so what's the options ?

      Hey there! Thank you very much! 😊 The topic will mostly depend on your interests. The more you are interested in the topic you're reading, the more effective it is. I will feature a list of audiobooks in a later video!

      Hey Jhony! Learning - and remembering - new vocabulary is a very common problem! Try the tips in this video, like selling to yourself, or shadowing. They're both great methods to find and use new words! I also made a video on how to remember new words without translating in your head! Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/kjmEyPM00d0/w-d-xo.html

    Hii ,
    Its an amazing video. Thanks for the valuable advice. I just want to know one thing, you used the statement, " I got nominated from my part on Days of Our lives". Is this grammatically correct? As I feel , it should be, I was nominated for my part on Days of our lives. I am not here to correct you in any way. I just want to improve my English. So, please don't take my comment otherwise. Thanks.

    • @English.Fluency
      @English.Fluency  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! Thanks for your comment, your questions are indeed on point! 😊
      In fact, I agree it should have been "I got nominated FOR my part on Days of Our Lives". But as I was recording the video, I was following the closed captions provided by TH-cam, which contained this mistake (here is the link th-cam.com/video/IXZTkWR-z14/w-d-xo.htmlsi=aua7ru9TdMG69A4Z).
      As for "to be/to get" ("I WAS nominated" or "I GOT nominated"), it's correct to say "I GOT nominated". To put it briefly:
      📌TO BE (ex: I am happy) = it describes your present state of being (happy)
      📌TO GET (ex: I get happy) = it describes your CHANGE of state. From "not happy" to "happy"
      So, in the same way:
      📌"I was nominated" = it describes a past state of being (nominated)
      📌"I got nominated" = it describes a CHANGE of state. From "not nominated" to "nominated"
      I know it's a bit confusing. Let me know if you want me to make a video on this topic, I'll be happy to do it! :)
