People like migos and metro boomin have ridiculously priced studios but their production value is nowhere near as top tier as PND, because they pump out generic hip hop music, whereas PND is meticulous about every sound, every drop, every reverb, every pad, kick, snare, hat etc. But that doesn’t mean they both aren’t mastered well, because they are, it’s just more about the little things that make the song pop. A song with insane production value - although EDM and not RNB- is “Lying to Myself” by Matt Lange. The song is very crisp and also very unique in style, a true gem in terms of perfectionism. Those hi hats will freak you out when you listen to it with headphones lol.
