The IOC should make this the official Olympic victory ceremony song. It’s just perfect, every time I hear this during a victory ceremony I get goosebumps. Congrats to the composer and orchestra!

This should be the official Victory Ceremony music of the Olympic Games going forward, it adds gravitas to the moment...
It's better than the Paris 2024 theme. This music is so good, it should be the definitive song for all Olympic Games editions

佐藤直紀さんという作曲家の方が東京五輪のメダルセレモニーのために作った曲ですよ
映画ALWAYS三丁目の夕日や海猿なんかのも佐藤さんです
もちろん、演奏やコーラスも日本の優れた人たちですよ
アスリートのことを第一に考えて全てを包み込む寛容なイメージで作ったそうです
なかなか試行錯誤して苦労して作ったそうです
It's 2024 and it sounds like we heard this yesterday itself still sounds so fresh and energetic
when they said "OOOOooOOooOoooOh" I really felt that
I'm ultimately a Rio 2016 Summer Games fan.
But man, I'm gonna tell you, when I first heard this theme with one of the athletes that I support winning a medal, I low-key cried while the ceremony was going.
Heck, I couldn't even hide how emotionally impacted I was watching it here in Brazil with this theme playing.
This is just... beyond perfection...

Tive COVID durante as olimpíadas, e assisti praticamente tudo. Tive crises de tosse e falta de ar intensa, e algumas vezes foi durante a cerimônia de premiação, só não fui internado por um milagre. A cada vez que eu escuto essa música, me lembro da dor forte no peito pela falta de ar, de suar muito, cair a pressão… mas, acima de tudo ela me traz um sentimento muito grande de superação, estou vivo… assim como os atletas que lá estavam superando seus limites. Saúde à todos! Abraço aos brasileiros que estiverem lendo!

🥇 gold medal for Indonesia 🇮🇩 by Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu (women's double badminton). We thought the hope was lost when Eko Yuli Irawan (mens weightlifting) and Marcus Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya (mens double badminton) didnt make it as they were favourites by our media. Thankfully Greysia/Apri brought home the gold medal. I'll always remember this background song especially when the medals were being awarded.
Also, huge credit for Leani Ratri Oktila who won 🥇🥇🥈 in para badminton.
