What deck would you recommend crafting for someone fairly new to the game that wants a rotation-proof deck to climb ranks with?

Without knowing your personal play style, preferences, and strengths.... My blanket, general purpose answer would be some variety of aggro, probably either Boros Convoke or mono red. However, in my experience the single most important factor in winning is how well you know your deck. Knowing how to comfortably and efficiently pilot it, what its strengths and weaknesses are, and what lines of play to take against various decks and board states... Those things are just as relevant as what the actual individual cards in your list are.
But yeah.... Mono Red or Boros....
