I actually really like the bow damage increase charm. It basically turns every enemy below a mini boss into a one-shot and you can just keep it on boil the entire time by one-shotting enemies one after another, after another. It works really well for any of the trials or chests where you have to kill a bunch of enemies in a set amount of time. Those monkeys you hate so much turn into one-shots so long as you hit their weakspot (the mask), the medium size blue enemies with the white masks are one-shots (just hit them in the mask within your three second damage buff window). Essentially any fight aside from a big boss fight becomes trivial, and clinically clean.
Cursed charm gives a unique cosmetic benefit where it is the only charm to put 3 orbiting rocks on your staff (one rock per listed effect, positive or negative). It's there for people to demonstrate and flex their mastery of the game beyond that of vanilla mechanics and forgoing the opportunity cost of the other available charms. I think it's fine, but the other middling charms could be reworked to have more unique effects that enable other forms of play style. Stuff like buffing arrow cooldown and damage and debuffing staff damage. Also, the bottom row of charms are restricted to ng+ (bravery etc), the rest are available in base game. Bravery is basically the premium reward before people want to cut their teeth on cursed.
Btw, another nice cosmetic detail relating to charms is that your slotted charm is visible in game on Kena's outfit from the dreamcatcher thing hanging on her waist.
I actually noticed that whatever charm you have equipped will also show on her waist, which is a nice touch. But I do wish some charms would get reworked since they almost all do the same thing. And even the Cursed Charm isn’t that cursed. It could be challenging for someone who isn’t familiar with the game’s difficulty and mechanics. But as far as I am concerned, I didn’t notice much of a difference whether it was on or Off (Except the increased damage I could receive at times)
I use the regeneration charm. The pink heart, I think that's what it's called. I like that 1, the courage charm where the rot glow in the dark & recharge where you get full shield on parry.
Having the ability to switch Charms on the go or equip more than one at the time would have been great since I hardly use anything other than Bravery 🤔
You need to unlock the Rot bombs in your skill tree. They are an advanced version of your bombs and will slow down all enemies caught in the blast radius
its will be great if its possible to use more than one charms. Make it one charm as passive ability and other charm as active ability that player can switch.
Yeah, sadly just a couple of them are useful. I wish you could combine at least 2 of them. Plus almost all the benefits are too low compared to the downsides, they don't really substantially change your playstyle. Some are even useless: aside from the Cursed one, there's this Dull Blade, which i believe must be an inside joke or something.
Am I the only one who found locating ANY charms whatsoever infuriating? I've looked through certain locations for hours and still haven't found a single one. Is it just a glitch? We're they added in a patch? the.map screen says I'm missing charms but even when I follow guides they aren't there? Wtf. I'm about to say f this game

Location for the Charms would be nice 🙂
Hi, excelent video, how do you slow time with the bombs? I just finished the game but I cant see and upgrade or something that does that, thank you

There should have been at least 3 charm slots.
I also Think that having only one charm at the time isn’t the greatest option. Especially since you can’t swap them in-battle

I think so too. Some charms are not worth your time but I could have maybe included them in my loadout if I was able to choose more than one

Some charms are earned by completing trials in the village. And some of them on New Game plus.
Internet/phone says you can equipped two charms at one time I say BS
