Good to see new(ish) high quality creators in the community. Goes to show the game is still thriving. Also after toggling drill ability, toggle cover commander. It turns them into blenders due to giving a speed boost and allowing them to bunch up.
prefectures on drill and cover commander are really strong. Their only downside is ofcourse being blue and also easy to daze and stunn alot of other units get dazed and stunned as well though. A warband that leans on proper unit targetting ai would include shieldmaidens and prefecture guards. Sadly the cover commander of silahdars is NOT of the same quality. The thing is that in many cases a unit value is more as just the sum of its stats, a slow unit with high damage will in many cases just miss heros. In this case heros will just jump into the unit and destroy them without trouble (mostly mauls with their spins though). Or just dance around the unit.You don't always want your unit to clump up ofcourse, if you clump a Shortsword all your units will be in range of the belly flop and get knocked down.
i have them at max level and with purple upgrades they can wipe purple and gold units but the problem is that archers have very bad armor and die very fast so you need to hide them somewhere

The way u use this unit is u use Prefecture drill then use cover commander and u go forward and attack with hero
earlier in the game, doing this cancel the drill, today doesnt.
If you get the chance try out incendiary archers.

If you was to have palace guards VS prefecture guards I would expect palace guards to win.. however people’s preferences would be different
The answer is no. But the point in using them is that they do their intended job very well according to their leadership .
