@@quacky2554 in separation between formats of TH-cam vids and twitch. In TH-cam it's a short and fast-paced information only about subject of the video. In twitch and recently added videos (e.g. this and smth about donations/acc reviews) it's more about stalling, reactions, overhyping

The beta is probably the beginning of the game. In both Honkai and Genshin the enemies were punching bags early on. The combat in this game is more closely aligned with Honkai from what I've seen.
end game is quite hard, tutorial not much.

My concern is what seems to be mission based gameplay with samey enemies. The enemies literally look like they are just built to take a hit. I didn't seen any defensive options such as dodging nor any need to do so. Seems like it could get boring real quick. It's really a shame because the art, animation, music, and style are incredible.
Don't forget that the game is still in early testing. There is no way Mihoyo will introduce a variety of enemies in the game. Early testing has the aim of ironing out any kinks in the system, and to tell Mihoyo where to make changes, not to prioritize provide a great gaming experience.
The dash is also used for dodging, so there are defensive options, and there will probably be a need to dodge attacks in the full game.
I don't really mind it that much, as long as the combat is fun. But looks like it's going to be just genshin (1 light & 1 heavy, excluding skills) but flashier, which is a real shame.

These are pleb enemies tho, from my experience in honkai these are just fillers. Looks like they only are testing the characters for now.
For this game to work the enemies have to be good so I agree with you. But i trust mihoyo to deliver on that as the bosses in honkai are good and unique.
Its very mobile gacha. From the ui, gameplay, swapping characters after a combo, stamina, mission system etc. Think the Mha gacha, really similar just from what ive seen but doesnt seem to be a bad game
I know its a massive task to stray from mission based gameplay, but thats gonna be a turnoff for me at least. It looks like just another game like Honkai or PGR to play for a month at best and then realise its the same thing

@@maverick9860 I mean it has a cool gimmick with roguelike-TV element but it really needs to be done perfectly for it to compensate all the other pretty basic gameplay stuff. And with hoyoverse's lack of experience in roguelike (besides Elysian Realm) i don't think they would do it perfectly. At least not in the nearest future.

The guy character with red jacket uses animations of a battlesuit from Honkai Impact 3 called Sundenjager. Even his guns look like the signature weapon of that battlesuit.

Honestly, This game needs a Style ranking system! Like that of Bayonetta or Devil may cry!! Gives you more incentive to do more combos and to be quick and precise about it!!!
They have bonus effects in their passive for combos already

i do hope there's more combo variation & animations in this game, maybe like chaining light & heavy attacks together, or delayed combo like in honkai, that'll be sick

From what I've seen this game doesn't seem to be complicated or too complicated. It feels so lighter than genshin. Just like zy0x said it seems that it's more of a mobile gacha game where you don't need to like TC about how to beat the mission faster and it's more of a serotonin unga bunga game but again it's beta currently so dont know how the game will be in official release.
This game pretty much took the best parts of Genshin and Honkai and put them together. The switch pop-up is basically the QTE system in Honkai.

@@dumbplings550 I kind of hope we get a boss like the original Elysian Realm Nihilius Husk in this so Genshin players can see what that felt like. Maybe even throw in SSS Tonatiuh and SSS Jizo. I don't even want to know what SSS BKE has been like.

ZZZ didn't really impact me because it's very similar to others I already played. Zy0x's way of playing it deserves extra credit.

I really hope there's gonna be a lot more attack options compared to mhy's previos games, maybe like dash attack, or jump light/heavy attack, or an ability to chain them together like light-light-heavy or light-heavy-heavy, you know, just to make the compat more engaging. Having just 1 light combo & 1 heavy attack animation like in genshin gets dull really fast.
Also @8:05 she literally uses a whirligig saw. Already my favorite character.
Actually it have dash attack,dodge attack,normal/charged special attack, and each character have different stategy.(like the Wolf can charge each normal attack, Miyabi have 3 special charge point to release laido... )
It is pity that Zy0x did not show that there is a command list...

I'm, uh, not really impressed.
The thing I hate most about Genshin is the spastic button mashing and character swapping. This looks even worse.
Wouldn't get too excited for the spicy female character models. They will absolutely be censored.
the ability chain combos you can do with the other characters gives me those Scarlet Nexus vibes. combat looks fun if we can spam those chain character combos more often

The combat gameplay looks fun, but due to *certain details* I'm not sure this is a game I would ever want to be seen playing 😅 I think I could ignore them to an extent, but it looks like this is going to be little more than a money-trap for ----- gamers. I'll have to wait until it gets a full release to see if it's worth trying out.

The stamina system is a big downer, I wish they finally get rid of it all together.
There's hundreds of other ways to time gate the content and stamina is probably one of the worst anti-fun ways to do it.
Other than that the game looks really nice, I wish I could try it out for myself.
That's a huge part of Gacha games. AP, Stamina, Resin, whatever you call it. It's an important part of a gacha.

Gachas are predatory by nature and it makes no sense for people to defend such practices.
I'm saying this as both a person who plays gachas and an undergraduate in finance.
Game industry became too narrow-minded in their game designs. EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard, you name it. That copy-pasta is boring and is only created for the sake of making money which got accelerated by entering the market of mobile games.
A game can have elements of gacha without having stamina. Without stamina a gacha game doesn't stop being a gacha game, it's not intrinsic and neither does it generate much revenue.
@@MrMisticZ Well, The point is there being a limitation to things you can farm. Let's say, shards for a character. You can get them from gacha or farm them out. And that's where the AP system limits that.
Although I get they're predatory, it's fine as long as the game is easily survivable as f2p as well. However, I haven't played many gacha games, after playing Honkai Impact, Punishing Gray Raven, Genshin Impact, Tears of Themis, Tokyo Ghoul Re birth (my first Gacha), and Uta no Prince Sama.... I can say that only Honkai Impact feels truly predatory. Mind you this is the Gacha game I stuck to for the longest time.
But the others are easily survivable and enjoyable without spending a dime.
I always play f2p BTW.
@@akemi2929 "There being a limitation to things you can farm" It's as if you haven't read the original comment. I'll say it again, there are plenty of other ways for time gating that don't disrupt the gameplay nearly as much as stamina.
My main gacha game is also Honkai Impact. Fully f2p 3-4yo end-game account. Basically the same with Genshin, although I did stop playing it because of chronic lack of re-playable content and QoL changes.
Stamina doesn't bring anything to the game. It only disallows you to play it at a convenient time.
Take, for example, Destiny 2. Instead of stamina Bungie tiered loot which, in turn, is time gated. So low-tier loot is grindable, but higher-tier loot is time gated and you can only get it once a week. Like raid loot which is always higher power level (main way of progression) and with high stats, as opposed to world drops which have very low chance of having high stats and only boost your light level when you low anyways.
There's a lot of space for creativity to limit progression for players. Stamina is the laziest and most disruptive approach I've seen in games so far.
@@akemi2929 I sympathize with the lost hundreds of hours you've spent in those games trying to make it as a F2P. It's just not worth it to me anymore. I've moved on to games that actually care about me and want me to have fun as opposed to forcing me to make do with the little that we're given if we don't spend a shitload of time or play every day just so they can say "F2P player friendly."

You shouldn't just do the first couple attacks then dodge all the time. you need to actually continue the attack string to do more damage and do special effects
Probably his genshin experience shining, as in genshin usually you just use two or three attacks and dash cancel.

The game looks absolutely fantastic and the animations are astounding. The characters are also gorgeous and the moves are already crazy good for(assuming) starter characters. Just like Honkai. So if the gameplay loop is anything like Honkai, then it's just another gem in the rough for me.

The animations are amazing but the combat system seems all style no depth.
Too flat and simplistic for my taste unless there is more combo complexity that has been lost in translation since I've only watched videos and hasn't played the game.

this is basically just honkai 4th , i hate mission based games, so boring and story is usually only walls of text. not my thing very dissapointed, was hoping for at least some larger explorable areas, not necessarily full open world.

I wasnt really impressed due to the fact that Ive seen that type of combat system from previous games and the character roster is pretty much meh. Yes, even miyabi. It gets tiring and annoying seeing another vergil bootleg.
