Timo needs to go back and a world class winger needs to be brought in. A CB, a RB and a striker. Richy needs to be sold. And someone like Eze brought in as well. Problem is we won’t do massive business in January

If he wants another winger for his system that only works 40% of the games, then we just need to f him off. Ange is signing deadwood left right and centre. Where Vicario, Van De Ven and later Dragusin were textbook paratici signings that played the market and found a deal, the signings of Maddison (ange's priority first signing who he personally called to convince him to come), Solomon and Johnson were sudden, out of nowhere and no alternatives were sought meaning they were 100% ange targets. This was exactly how the signings of Timo Werner, Gray, Odobert and Yang were too. No one saw any of those signings coming. Why are teams who are spending less achieving more ? Coaching, coaching, coaching. Teamwork, round pegs in round holes, I could go on. Forest ( with our ex head coach), Brighton, Bournemouth, and Villa to an extent - all better teams than us. There is something wrong with our recruitment ( Timo, Richy, are perfect examples of how not to spend money) which is bleeding our club of success. We will buy more playerswho shouuld never be in the club, and have no resale value. It seems we are always searching for tbe next Bale, Modrich or Kane who we can sell on, and then utterly waste the money.
the gap between 17th and 5th is very different to the gap between 5th and 1st mate. a lower midtable team can become a conference league contender by simply signing a single good player, or even by just having good luck in terms of results and competing teams' quality. Meanwhile a perennial champions league contender has to do way more than that to even be included in the title race
