happy 30th anniversary the lion king & happy birthday to my brother!!!(favorite disney film period and always think of my father with how much he cared for/is watching over us with this moment.:3)
@@Lelan-B-KeetonIt was because they couldn't make it work for the 3-D release. I think they should've left it at that, but it affects the Blu-Ray release, too.
What the heck is up with this comparison? I'm on my 14 inch laptop and it appears the VHS is brighter and shows more details. Is this because dark settings were used to capture the laserdisc, dvd, and bluray? VHS is not suppose to be better than laserdisc, dvd, or bluray. Yet in this comparison it surely looks like something is up with the Vhs. You didn't do some weird upscaling and make it brighter did you? Now maybe this video would look different on my 32 inch 4k 60hz curved monitor but at the moment I'm lying on my bed and I'm dumbfounded on how the VHS is beating superior formats. Laserdisc blows VHS apart but even DVD and Bluray should pretty much destroy the VHS release yet that's not what I'm seeing.
My god man, calm down. The VHS rip I found is how it looked when I got it from the Web Archive. The person who uploaded it was in 1080p, stretched, and was bright. The only thing I did to use was fix the aspect ratio and darken it a little.
@@Josh366lol2 I'm impressed by the VHS copy even if the colors look a little blown out because of the increased brightness. I think the VHS release looks good but you think someone may have upscaled it and improved the overall quality with something like Topaz Upscaler or some type of Upscaling software?

Good thing they brought the clouds back in the 2017 Blu-ray version
Yeah, why the heck were they missing in the 2011 version?

@@JesusChrist-em1iz Either how you worded some of the sentences or I took it the wrong way.
@@JesusChrist-em1iz It was the best one I found, the others on Web Archive looked like crap.
