I was gonna make a whole thing about this, but flying and wings as a metaphor for success or happiness is a constant things throughout all their music. This goes back so far as I think Run? I'm on my phone so I can't really check, but Butterfly probably totally has it. But when birds fly overhead, and we see them on the ground, being friends, that's the real start. The bird Jungkook paints and Namjoon tattoos on himself in their short films also apply to this image, and yes, so do Persona and Shadow. Jin cannot fly so that his friends are able to (see Interlude: Wings). Persona is about someone wanting to fly (be successful/happy), and Shadow is about someone who is successful wishing they could take it all back. Black swan kind of counts too, and at least we know what the bird is now (first it was a crow or raven, now it's a swan). Especially since black swan is about the realizations of success, and the moment you stop loving what makes you successful ("that would be my first death").
I honestly think you can read Wings as a person study of the group and how they see themselves just as much as you can see a story in the videos. With 7, it's all personal experiences of fame from each member. There's a shift in the reason, but the wings metaphor still stands.

I was an army since 2014, Taehyung was my first bias back then. But when I get busy in college, I’m no longer active anymore because I was literally crying and surviving with my degree. Now I’m working and I’ve heard about run episodes. I started to binge watch their reality show, it turns out I fall inlove with Jin’s personality.
I love the 7 of them. But I can see myself in Jin’s perspective with life and how he handle things on his own, how he encourage himself to love his own self everyday.
10 years from now, I’m probably married that time, but Kim Seokjin will always have a place in my heart because I love every bit of him. If I could met him someday, I would thanked him for saving me when I’m depressed and anxious, it was his daddy jokes, goofy personality and loving character that saved me from the darkest part of my life. This is why Jin was the last on the short films, he saved them all by traveling back in time in order to prevent all of these to happen which explains why in every video he holds the camera creating memories and remembering them (My theory based of Euphoria)

this is literally my theory, lol, that jin killed kookie and is trying to fix everything. and now i'm going back through these short films to try to figure out why everyone's circles match up in certain ways. i think i know why tae and hobi's circles match up -- jin puts hobi with tae so tae doesn't kill his father. now all that's left to figure out is why jimin's matches yoongi's and why kookie's matches joon's. it's all so damn confusing. i do think, though, that jin isn't supposed to be there. i feel like, in any timeline he creates by time traveling, if he's there, things go wrong. so he needs to make himself nonexistent.
