And citizens of Puerto Rico cannot vote in presidential elections, so our so-called leaders currently in power have no incentive to spend any time or money worrying about them. Imagine if this was Republican Texas or Florida, you can be sure electricity would have been restored by now.
How about Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy in the Carribeans? The islands belong to the Netherlands and France, they are still in bad shape after the hurricanes last year.
