  • Lake Kissimmee is drying up . Water levels are extremely low- could we see a draw down like we saw in the 70’s ?
    Airboat ride shows how low the water is !

    No the lake is not drying up. They probably opened the locks to drain the lake to compensate for the summer rains

      it was a both, the summer of 2022 we experienced a drought and they had the locks open. The lake suffered terribly. With the drawn down and the drought the lake was down about five feet on the average. Thanks for stopping by !!

    I never rode in an airboat before, but it looks like fun. There is somebody on our lake that owns one. Bummer about y’all’s lake

    I think the main cause of why you're not seeing that many airboats around right now is the price of gas I mean gas is extremely expensive right now and plus it's pandemic we're just getting through but I truly believe it'll be back up and running again and you're going to see all the airboats back out again running having fun just going to take a little bit of time love each and every one of your videos I live right here in Orlando Florida right around the corner

      I agree the inflation of all goods are outrageous! I hope this doesn’t continue or become the new normal. The lake will return to normal levels soon enough, so many of us love this lake/marsh !

      @@OutdoorAdventureswithShawn I've lived in Florida all my life I was raised out in the swamps lake Kissimmee is on a drop in the summertime and sometimes it's going to drop below normal but you also got to look that we do live in a tropical region so it's going to come right back to normal it's an up and down situation but everything will be back to normal soon enough and if it does dry up hey we got airboats go across land too

    When it comes down to aircraft motors or car motor I would prefer a 454 Chevy to put on the back of my airboat because Lisa I know I got a shitload of power when it comes down to a good Chevy motor aircraft motors are good I ain't putting them down but when it comes down when I need torque and I need that extra power I'll stick with a 454

      jess, we had a Cadillac 472 straight drive for many years, loved it too. had two wood props, a wide for hunt, and push and stick (skinny blade ) for just general riding. I get it for sure. hey thanks for the input and i appreciate you stopping by !

      I like a car motor cuz my dad was a Master mechanic and they're just easier to work on you don't got to order parts from this place for a second and third you can get aftermarket or you can just go to a good junkyard you pull it I just like a good car motor a truck motor you're dependable I ain't putting down now aircraft motors now if I knew how to work on an aircraft motor no problem I just love the power in the torque of a big bad Chevy and a Dodge I would like to get about a 700 cubic inch or 750 that's a lot of work keep making them videos enjoy each and every one

      The aircraft motor has more torque per pound.

    • @jessebolton3423
      @jessebolton3423 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@asherdie yeah they have more torque but I prefer a car motor because I'm a mechanic of automobiles and when it comes to aircraft motors you're talking a lot of money to get some parts and plus to have someone work on it so that's why I kind of stay away from aircraft motors and stick with a good car motor

      @@jessebolton3423 I understand the parts cost argument to an extent, but it's an I.C.E. Suck, Bang, Blow, it's the same principle and basic parts.
      But what ever one is most comfortable with is what he needs on the water.

    Looks like you could walk across the whole lake and not get the bottom of your shorts wet. 😱
