I mean it is in a sense in lots of other religions - I’m a Roman Catholic Christian and love kissing bones, and making pilgrimage to stones associated with Saints, hill sites associated with Saints, sacred wells and springs etc. The difference is I guess that I know full well our faith has syncretised with pre Christian European Paganism in so many ways - and that in a sense all monotheists do, look at the Cultic practices of the Old Testament, the Umim and the Thumim etc clear examples of pre monotheist magic rites. And frankly the more syncretism there is with other cultures the more fun and interesting the faith is to practice. And given the church and our ancestors sanctioned it God is clearly not adverse to adopting Paganism with it enables easy cultural integration. For eg Christmas Day and Annunciation Day were set then so that the Roman festive period didn’t need to change… and many other examples

Dark colored rocks are common in the desert of Arabia and Jordan. The Arabs used rocks as a placeholder for the presence of their pagan dieties - who were often femenine (i.e. al Lat, Uzza and Mannat). When the worshippers found a better looking rock, they would discard the old one in favor of the new. The Arabs were always pagans, but had to wrap their myriad polytheistic practices in monotheism garb to better unify themselves and the peoples whom they came to rule.

Muhammad did what his grandfather Ibrahim did and he broke the Idols and guided the Arabs to worship the lord of thier grandfather Ibrahim as Ibrahim used to do without worshiping Idols and pictures as christians do today at the church and the Jews do at the Wall.

I used to consider my 'religious belief' as 'Amalgamist' taking parts here and there and finding connections, but about finding the cores of them. This reminds me of a story I read about the ancient Romans. After losing a battle during the Second Punic War, the Romans consulted a book of prophecies, which said that they needed to incorporate a Phrygian goddess called Cybele into their pantheon. Phrygia is now part of Turkey, so the people there were probably a mix of Greek and Semitic. Anyway, not only did the Romans start to worship Cybele, but they stole a "sacred stone" from her temple in Phrygia and took it back to Rome. Turns out the ancient practice of worshipping stones was pretty common.

Some traditions suggest that the Black Stone can absorb the sins of those who touch it sincerely, symbolizing repentance and seeking Allah’s forgiveness.
In summary, Muslims do not worship the Black Stone. It is respected and honored for its historical and religious significance, particularly in the rites of Hajj and Umrah, and as a symbol of Islamic tradition and unity. Worship in Islam is directed solely to Allah.
Ishmael was sent to the Wilderness with his Mother Hæggar.
He was not the promised son for Sarah and Abraham. As God indeed Promised them a Son of there own. As in (From Abraham's Seed and Sarah's Womb) no (if's), (And's), or (But's). As we see they themselves(Abraham and Sarah) were getting impatient with God hence they Bought Hæggar as a Wet nurse/Maid for Sarah to then become Temporal-Surigate "Mother" latter. Even tho Abraham had Ishmael, he still was not the Promised Son God made to them.
And so it was when Sarah was 90 years old, she was finally pregnant with Issac as God has Finally Promised them. Thus Ishmael was sent away with Hæggar.
It is believed that the Kaaba name is derived from the Sanskrit name Kapaleeshwara "कपालीश्वर" (the God of the skull), another name for Lord Shiva, the Hindu God of strength, paranormal elimination and fertility. Kaaba (or the black Stone) is considered as the Shiva linga "शिवलिंग" (also made from black 'colored' stone) whose worship was prevalent in Middle East and South East Asia as a form of abstract spiritualism way before Christ was born. The closest I can relate to this is when I attended a Greek Orthodox church as a child. Right when you walked in the church there was an icon (a painting of saints behind glass) that I would stand in front of, do my cross (moving my hand in front of me in the shape of a cross) and then kiss the icon. I remember the smears of lipstick on it from all the women kissing it. I don't remember thinking it was an odd behavior. Looking back now, I'm not sure what the point of that was. Perhaps to show reverence for the saints.
