I just watched a news report about the latest long line of detransitioners, who are saying how social media such as this video and influencers are convincing their confused teen minds that they suffer from dysphoria and the answer is to transition. Which as the detransitioners are saying has caused so much harm to their minds and irreversible effects to their mutilated bodies. Just look at the comments on this video by young minds that are convinced they have dysphoria. Convinced they are trans, when the majority are not, they are just normal confused teens. It has to stop. It's harming a whole generation of young adults perminently. I'm not transphobic, however I am against this trans trend that's being treated as a miracle cure for mental health struggles in teenagers. Being trans is being promoted as a wonder drug. Transitioning if you don't really have gender dysphoria will affect a person for life. It's not a trend, it's not the latest fad or craze....it's a serious body altering treatment with no way to undo what's done from that transitioning. So pardon me for trying to get young confused minds to think logically and seriously about becoming trans. WHEN YOU TRANSITION YOU LIVE WITH THE PHYSICAL RESULTS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. You can't say I haven't warned people here. If they make that choice, they don't blame the medical professionals and they live with the consequences of what they have chosen to do to themselves. Heed this crucial warning.

This couple have exploited this child since birth robbed them of their privacy, and exposed them to predeters online. When edaurdo was 3 he enjoyed dress up with his sisters, according to jonothon he always has. When they could not come up with content to save their channel, they took a few months break. Jonothon even went on radio saying it was not right kids being on the internet. When they returned weeks later edaurdo was now edie, they have heavily capitalised on the situation since. It is also worth adding on a stacy dooley documentary the kids all admitted they dont like doing videos, and on their youtube channel edaurdo said no 3 times when jonothon repeatedly put it to him that he wanted to be a girl.

However their is a more recent video/documentary that stacy dooley did, were all the children said they did not like being filmed. I'm tired of people thinking this is ok, Edie was raised around older sisters, obviously they would pick up some traits that are considered girly but that doesn't mean they are transgender, I'm not homophobic or transphobic I just think Edie is too young to decide whether they are trans or not
You saying "it's slay" is encouraging the kid to be trans. Because you wouldn't say the same thing if it was just another cis gendered kid. So yes, it is being encouraged...by people like you because being trans is "slay" and being cis is whatever. I'm sure you're well meaning so I'm not trying to be mean but that's the cognitive dissonance you guys don't seem to understand. A child will always gravitate to whatever gives them attention, good or bad. This gives Edie attention both positions and negative. It's more "interesting" than being cis gendered. It's not supporting the kid that bothers us. It's platforming the kid, because now the kid can't walk it back or have any balanced and genuine understanding of themselves because it will be influenced heavily by the attention they receive. Kids like attention. This is attention and it's not attention for something earned like a talent. It's attention for just being something....which Edie isn't gonna drop if it means losing that attention. That's not considering the financial aspects of it in that the kid has to keep this up to keep the revenue stream going. It's child explotation because Edie is now unable to have an untainted path of self discovery, something a truly supportive family could have done if they kept it offline and didn't make it the kid and by extension the families entire identity and a literal revenue stream.
I don't think it's with bad intent, as in I do think the family are well meaning but I also think well meaning people make mistakes and platforming this to millions of people was a huge mistake for the same reason child beauty pageants are a mistake. Too much pressure on a kid and too much fame too quickly damages a kid. This isn't love and support, it probably started that way but it's a business model now. And that's the fucked up part.

This piece could be used to highlight just how a child or young person feels when they are “trapped inside themselves” and don’t have the support they desperately need around them. The fact that the part Edie played in the beginning of the video where she was met with anger by her father and was then unable to smile or even get past her sadness. Compare that to what is Edie’s story in the second part of the video and how her dad held out his hand to her to let her know it was fine.
This is definitely not and cannot be described as “CLICKBAIT”
Also the book has a great significance and maybe you should read it and then make a more informed judgement 💁🏻♀️. You may not change how you feel but at least you would have seen the whole picture and not just a “title” 🙏🏼

I knew when. My baby boy was born that he was different. His bio father dictated how he dressed and acted. He turned into a teenager and he started to shine. My husband (his stepfather) encouraged him to shine and be himself. Our baby is now 20 yrs old, he hasn't spoken to his bio dad in 2 yrs. My husband will have Skys back for the rest of our lives. Ok, this may just be my opinion but I wanna share it.
In the beginning they show a trans kid and his sister. He’s dressing up by himself at first, and looks happy. Then his sister comes in and hypes him up. Dad comes home, suddenly they need to take off the dress and hide. But that was in 1986. So way too old to be Edie. In the description he said that it was his story and now his daughters. This tells us he was/is trans. But his dad was abusive(?) or at least didn’t “let” him be trans. But when that kid grew up and had a son, who did the same thing, he “let” her be trans.
But my thoughts:
If the dad is truly trans, when he grew up and moved out he would’ve/should’ve transitioned. Only explanation why he didn’t was because his dad taught him it wasn’t ok, but that would mean that he wouldn’t have let his daughter transition either(that’s how trauma works, I think, could be wrong.) If this is true, I’m glad the dad let his kid do what he wasn’t allowed to, but Edie looks younger than 10 here. I know some people find out who they are early, but I personally think it might have been pressured. Maybe his daughters decided to dress up his son and put makeup on him, then the dad saw and said “oh you’re trans? I’m going to now treat you as a girl even though you might be too young to truly figure out who you are.” Which I mean, can be okay, but I think he should’ve said “ok, well let’s wait until you come to me and come out as trans or figure out who you are, even if that takes a few years.”
Again, just my opinion but if he was truly trans as a kid, I know he probably saw younger him in Edie and wanted to make her(?) life better.
We all just want what’s best for Edie, but there’s nothing we can do. Her sisters and brother will be there to support her no matter what, and I have no doubt her dad too. Edie eventually will learn who she is and who she wants to be, whether her dad likes it or not.

I honestly don’t agree with the child being trans this young but I also don’t believe in government telling parents how to raise their kids the way I see it unless the child is being really abused like being beaten to death, being s***ally abused, or being starved to death then government shouldn’t get involved in how the parents want to raise their kids. So with that said all people like me can do is just shake our heads and mind our own business.
